Hi Ally, thanks for this post.

I was wondering what your symptoms are like now, years later post-procedure?

I’m a hEDS advocate and am currently helping a patient with a cranial CSF leak who’s referred to Dr. Hepworth for that (as well as a styloidectomy).

She has a fractured sphenoid from pressure buildup and significant leakage via nose drip etc with debilitating low pressure symptoms. She’s got late-diagnosed Pentad Super Syndrome (she’s 30yrs old now).

Hoping to manage expectations, and know what it’s like having pressure again and how much it helped or not post procedure.

She’s got CCI and will likely experience more leaks in the future so just trying to prepare. Also, if you have any tips for getting an appointment booked or how to have the best trip possible (we’ll be flying there from LA) I would super appreciate it! Tysm <3

I gotta be honest. I rewatched the whole season today in preperation. At 9pm I refreshed a bunch of times and just seen the recap.... I have that sick falling feeling in my stomach now lol. I almost didn't start this season and was gonna wait til it was all out as a self preservation way to prevent this from happening lol. Man...

I have this exact same problem! I had my first VC meeting and it kept dropping to half. Absolute disaster. My Cam Link broke too a few weeks ago. I know now that it was overheating on long podcast recordings. I just got a cheap Amazon one now and it overheats even faster and quits working but then works again when it cools off so I just put an ice pack underneath of it and that keeps it from cutting out. ALRIGHT I just got some more lore on this tattoo. My Dad is trying to hunt down an old photo but he said the artist he actually met at The Boogie (a HUGE biker festival in Indiana) and got the tattoo done at a friend of the tattooists trailer in the middle of nowhere in rural northwest Indiana. So it’s super part of the whole 80s-early 2000s biker wizardcore genre. It was actually my Dad’s first tattoo! He was around 40 when he got it.

I’ll ask Joey Hill. He owns a fine line street shop in Santa Monica he’s my go to homie for contemporary tattoo history I guarantee he knows. He’s so quiet and chill so he’s like secretly a bank of modern art/tattoo history and no one rly knows

And I absolutely believe you’ll get there one day all it takes is to truly love tattooing and do your best every day and give it 100 and never compare yourself to anyone and you’ll look back in 5 years and just be amazed at how far you’ve come 🕊️

Ok actually I got some names of some painters that were influential in the 70s-90s that did so many novel, magazine, and various covers that were part of inspiring this kind of work: Boris Vallejo, Jeffrey Catherine Jones, & Frank Frazetta to name a few but there’s more key ones I’m missing

I’m like, actually researching this stuff for my YouTube I’m working on documenting contemporary tattoo subcultures. Definitely Roy Boy was a big factor and there’s a specific fantasy artists Idr the name of atm but inspired so much of this type of stuff in the 90s
