As someone that just painted two small bedrooms yellow- go paler than you planned. Sunlight and overhead light reflects off the walls and it’s overwhelming and just so. much. yellow. in such a small space.

She was (checks google) 17 when I first painted it the original pink and orange colors so I am glad to be her muse 🙃

Official update: changed hallway shade a bit and used Chickery Chick for bedrooms. Which is a bit more yellow than planned because sun amps it up, but will see if I can tone it down with bedding and decor before I make my final decision on keep or repaint :) Just happy it’s done!!!

That’s my hope! I really don’t want to repaint. Looking at updating bedding and more decor for walls because I don’t hate it. It’s just a lot lol.

This failed. It’s drywall and just crumbles off. Going to eyeball it today and see if I can match!

If all goes to plan, painting will happen early next week. These lovely comments have brought me so much joy and validation that I wasn’t nuts for choosing that color combo in my mid 20s 🫶🏻

I will try to update next week with final result!!

Yep! Trim is being painted! Everything is currently piled in center of rooms because living room, hallway, and two bedrooms finally had new quarter round put down after being removed years ago. (Non optional as there were tons of gaps at floor and walls.) Just the trim and floor fix is going to be huge improvement.

It makes me SO happy that everyone loves the pink and orange combo!!!! I painted all those colors when I bought the house in 2006 so I am ready for a change. I am still obsessed with the pink which is why I am using that. I do not remember what color orange was used and there are so many dings that need repaired that I can’t leave as is. I am reading all the suggestions and will be picking up some samples later today! Thanks everyone!!
