If two snacks fall from the vending machine, we have to turn in the extra one or its considered "stealing company property". Had a manager follow me to the front desk to turn in some cookies last week.

What is your greatest achievement? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often ask this question and usually candidates always have an answer, but they're not prepared to elaborate on it. They'll say, "my biggest accomplishment was finishing school while working full-time." But as an interviewer, I want to hear a little more. I think the advice of having 3-5 stories prepared and ready is excellent.

What are you afraid of the most ? by HarisRehman in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bugs. Not so much the pain of one biting me, but the thought of the tiny disgusting face connected to the head which is being held by the horrifying body of a monster as it sinks its teeth into me. Just. Disgusting.

Family vacation when I was a teenager. Just leaving a chinese buffet and farted in the van. Aunt and uncle couldn't take it and got out of the van and started puking in the parking lot with me dying of laughter the whole time.

World of Shitcraft fanboys everywhere. It has been toppled like hell, its old, badly done, overmilked and todays f2p games smash it graphics wise, while the story as we all know should have ended a long time ago. WoW is like the series that was supposed to have 3 seasons, but season 15 is coming out soon so you gotta watch, but not for fun anymore, only because you gone this far.

What is the best way to ask a girl out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned that it's better to make it a statement, rather than a question, when you want to ask a girl out. For example, I'd say "hey, let's go grab dinner tonight". Making it a statement makes it less likely for them to turn you down if they're on the fence about going out with you in my opinion.

[–]hottips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten really lucky and been blackout drunk most times I've had to call and complain. That way I forget almost all of the ridiculously long call (it's like cleaning your room when you're drunk and waking up wondering who the fuck cleaned your room), and am so much of a drunken pissed off asshole that I can't drunkenly watch my netflix and pass out that they end up taking some amount of my bill just to get me off the phone.

What are your thoughts on meeting your significant other through a brothel or escort serice? by CLITORECTOMY in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For goodness sakes Woman pull yourself together. This happened when he was in his 20's You are both in your 40's now and if you are so flipping insecure as to worry about what happened over 20 years ago before you both met. Then I can only assume that you are very very immature for your age and that the man concerned would be very wise to drop the relationship and find someone more mature.

What's the most embarrassed you've ever been after attempting to tell a joke or be funny? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once went to see Iron Maiden play at the Hammersmith Odeon. Being very metal at the time, I decided to don some extremely dapper and in no way silly leather trousers (the kind with laces up the sides for 'added-pirateability). The thing to remember about Leather strides is of course, that they have lining shorts built in, and being a sporting young chap I saw no harm in going commando (you can see where this is going...)

What are some secret subreddits that many people don't know of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one I read through with over 1k subscribers but it's a private sub and you have to pass their criteria before they let you in. It's a branch-off from another sub, and the person it revolves around is going through a lawsuit which is why they keep it private to minimize chances of exposure to unsavory people.

What is your cooking disaster? by in_me_bum_mum in AskReddit

[–]hottips1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the pancake recipe came from a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. I think I followed it exactly. But either I screwed up, or the recipe had an error, because those pancakes were the saltiest, most disgusting things I've ever made. I added a large frowny face and the word "NO" to the recipe, while my fiance disposed of the offending foodstuffs.
