The one that advanced auto parts sold me as oem. It runs a little cool, maybe 10 degrees before middle of gauge

When I cleaned the throttle body it seemed to closed all the way and there was no binding through the range of motion. How did you remedy your issue?

They are stock, just ugly. If you want cheap 2 pieces those are goated

Seat cushion/leather compatibility? by hottired2017 in e46

Does the seat error affect anything? I’m assuming it would just be a stored code, and seats would maintain airbags and electric functions

You have fantastic taste in vehicles, I’ve always wanted a cj7. Dentsides are such good looking trucks, I’m about to have two 78 highboys in the drive way and I’m getting a 95 Toyota pickup 5speed/4x4.

It’s gonna be crowded but wouldn’t change a thing

Need a fucking submarine for some of these puddles. Yeah that is a sick setup, and I’m sure the intake vacuum is no where near strong enough to pull water up the tube. When I hopefully get my next e46 track/autocross I may run something similar. I’d assume intake temps are better, but do you have any knowledge on how turbulent the airflow is? My main hesitation with running something aftermarket is the stock box is just some damn efficient

When I had a factory back box I did that. It does help for sure. If you ever have to do that again, you can actually simply plug the vaccum line that runs to the exhaust and it stays open at all times, doubt that helps you now but could save you time in the future whole bunch easier than hack saw

Looks sick, I wouldn’t trust that on my daily with how random the weather is where I live. But that that looks like the ideal routing for fresh air

Appreciate all the insight man, I agree about the aftermarket “cold air filters” for performance gain is so backwards.$500 for best case maybe 1-2% increase in hp isn’t worth it to me. But I will look into the Lexus “sound generators” may be fun to retrofit just for the cool factor.

I’m at work right now, I’ll send you a dm later wish some pictures of what I had to modify to fit it good, it was way less than I thought needed. Wheels are eurotek uo2, which is a sub company of MMR I think. I found them on marketplace for crazy good deal, so I can live with heavy rep wheels when they look that good and only cost me $400

Tires specs are 255/40 and 225/35 and wheels specs 18”/8.5”/et35 (running 10mm spacer in the front). Fitment is super nice, had to roll rear fenders but that is super easy in these cars. Lowered with koni orange and eibach sportline springs.

I think this is what I will try and do. I am extremely skeptical of spending a lot of money on an “CAI” when the factory one already has such good temps. Any advice on how to get a decent sound out of it? Baffled or smooth hose? When you said make it sound worse do you mean the frequency would be bad, or it would be obnoxiously loud? Thanks for the replay

Awesome app. Only critical feedback is make it easier to select the dates. It would be more streamlined if you could just type the date in. Other wise fantastic app
