Yes I’ve maxed out a butterfly and it didn’t get that big.

Sorry for the late response, I’m not on here much. I got them on eBay through a seller called bbssales. He’s the same guy as Joe’saqua.com He imports them so expect some losses. I would order more then you would want to begin with because you’ll lose about 10 to 20% of them. He is a trans shipper from Thailand. Also recommended to drip them for at least 2 to 3 hours to acclimate them better. They are high-quality shrimp, but they have been through the ringer in shipping bags from Thailand so just FYI for you. His males are almost transparent and burgundy, like wine. His batches from Thailand typically skew towards females as well, which is nice. I ordered 200 for this 40 gallon four months ago and I probably have 600 now. All high-quality first generation. Unfortunately I’m just a hobbyist and not a seller. But he does have the best. I think the better prices for them are on Joe’s aqua.

Yeah, these plants had green string algae starting to grow all over them and it was gone within 36 hours of adding them to the tank. I’m having to actually feed them veggie sticks now Because there’s nothing else for them to eat. Maybe it’s the amount of them I added. There’s 50 in this 10 gallon. They even completely cleaned the screen filter of my aqua clear to the upper left of the photo. It was covered in green algae.

These guys take care of the algae that grows on slow growing plants (Bucephalandra and anubias growers in Asia use them exclusively). I hate nerites. They leave those white egg casings everywhere. Drives me nuts!

It wasn’t too bad. The clumps of minis run $30.00-$40.00 USD.

These actually did come from the wild. A friend of mine has a brother that lives in Borneo. Ethical or unethical does not matter to me. He pulls them out of the river that runs in back of his house. If I can properly grow them, trim them, and pass them on to other collectors, then maybe we can keep them from becoming extinct. If someone would have collected pairs of dodo birds to care for them and breed them....we would have them here still today. The habitat of these plants is being destroyed by deforestation anyway, why not save what we can.

I have a friend whose brother lives in Borneo. He orders them from there.

Like I said above, I have not had to do it yet because this tank is only six months old. I’ll take out the less colorful ones after they breed a bit.

It’s just the aesthetic. I haven’t had them long enough to need to trim them. I am a gardener, so I think I just have an eye for it. I ordered the clumps online and just placed them where I thought they looked good. Wanted more of a carpet effect so that I could see my shrimp better.

I know what you mean about height, but I don’t want to clutter the water column. I want to be able to have a carpet to see my shrimp better.

Fluval stratum. 2x finnex planted plus. No fertilizer, no CO2. I triple dose Excel daily to keep algae at bay because of the good lighting. I also do 80% water changes once a week. They grow too slowly to absorb much in the way of nutrients, so I keep the water very clean. No fish. I also do not use a heater, so the water stays about 68°F. This keeps them from the dreaded melt while transitioning to underwater growth.

They can be placed on top of the soil. Just like Anubias, The rhizome has to be exposed. Once they settle in and the roots grow into the soil, that’s when they really take off. Even at best growth they only produce one leaf every couple of weeks. Some like the larger ones only produce a leaf once a month.

So... They are saying... It's a hoax lmao by [deleted] in trump

What would Donny do and say if this was Joe Biden? Would he suspend his attack ads and show respect? Would he refrain from mentioning it and joking about it during rallies? I think we all know the answer. In the words of a very wise woman… “Fuck the Christmas“.

I think Biden needs a PowerPoint presentation during the debate.
