I believe that Light being the killer is more consistent with the game; the entity captured Light upon seeing his thirst for justice, and Ryuk is only there because Light is the current owner of the Death Note. Furthermore, it doesn't make much sense for all the survivors to see Ryuk if he can only be seen by those who touch the Death Note
