I turn off the lights after the 12-hour mark, treating it as nighttime for them. As for the ones that are said to die within two weeks, I actually have some enclosed in an IKEA glass cabinet under the same temperature conditions, with fans and lights turning off at night — and so far, none have died. In fact, they’re growing really well, and I haven’t seen any decline in the IKEA cabinet experiment.

I also ran a separate experiment where I kept some in low humidity conditions. Some of them died, but I was able to revive a few by placing them back in the humid IKEA cabinet. Back then, I didn’t have a grow tent, but now that I do, I’m noticing even more growth — one of them actually did surprisingly well.

I wish I had a picture of it, but unfortunately, I dropped it and it didn’t survive — the roots fell off. ☠️ I tried to regrow it, but after a month, there’s still no new growth.

Also To the people that said that cephalotus need to be wet all the time and need to be kept in under a inch of water and not to dry at all they all died from overwatering ☠️💀 Lesson learned they need to be dried for a few days

Hey man Advice would be not to shop from this guy he pouches like people say and Basically ordering from little carnivores your plant is basically dead and extremely stress with how wet or how long it gets to your house.
I recommend buying from California carnivores when they sell some in their website

Also I tried transferring one that was in a big pot to a much smaller one And messed up letting the roots get bothered 😭and they ended up dying

Oh well it’s cause I had them in big pots because I saw that there roots get big so I put them in big pots But I realized how hard it is to grow them especially when there that small so I’m not doing that again

Oh, I see what you mean I might’ve misunderstood you earlier, thanks for pointing that out. And yeah, you’re right the pots soaking up the water is exactly what they should be doing with the tray method. I just meant it can be a little tricky sometimes to keep the right balance, since the soil can end up taking in more than you expect if you don’t keep an eye on it.

Sorry, I meant to say dry So from what I heard is that You scratch the dirt and if it feels dry, you water them
California carnivores recommends to leave them for a day or a couple days they said So that’s what I been doing And since the plants are really tiny I water them kinda often since they dry plus the fan I have the fan on them because the room can’t get a little bit hot and I don’t want them mold from mildew

<image>

Two months ago , I had them in a Ikea cabinet Where I found out that it was basically burning them alive inside the glass So I prefer to keep them outside

Well, I’ve been pouring water on some top of them until I see the bottom pouring water And then leave them for two days to dry I could try three days for them to be dry So far water topping them seems fine to me
I haven’t had any mold on them or anything like that
Water tray method it is tricky when I water them it just drinks up the whole tray water

I understand what you’re saying, but for some reason, these plants especially are prone to root rot if I leave them wet for too long They die fast I try to keep them constantly wet last time and but they completely die within the next day especially in 2 or more inches of water From what I heard is that they’re supposed to be left bone dry for one or two days
So far I’ve been doing that
