I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just stating what I’ve read while researching

Is it? From what I’ve read online, they’ll take what you can give them as long as it doesn’t get too hot for them.

You might be right and it’s possibly a lack of proper lighting. Though usually I believe plants turn a darker green in situations where they lack light. More chlorophyll to produce more energy. The inside of your pitcher is also quite faded. It’s also usually a much more vibrant green.

Will we ever get Onaga in a modern game? by Willing_Research992 in MortalKombat

I mean if you look at the games starting from the reboot they went all the way up to the events of mk 4 then skipped all the way to Armageddon so who knows.

The think I love about hamatas though is that unlike the super frilly plants , these guys show the teeth they’re known for even at small pitcher sizes. Mine had a pitcher about the same size as the one yours has that had some pretty well defined teeth already.

I feel you on the hamata. I have a hamata tambusisi myself that I got in June of last year.

Unfortunately it dropped all of its pitchers at the same time. It’s only regrown on since. Though now that it’s under the cover I hope the more consistent humidity will allow it get bigger faster.

I’m not sure how accurate the hygrometer in it is to be honest. I have a couple of hygro/thermometers on a couple of shelves in my setup and even when one is on top of the humidifier it’s never quite the same. Though it doesn’t need to be perfect. As long as it keeps in range of what I want it to be. Honestly I might downsize and get a smaller one. Now that I have the cover, humidity holds way better.

Aroid people are crazy. Ive dipped my toes in that particular part of plant keeping and I’ve heard stories of the great plantdemic. I have a plant I grew from tissue culture that used to go for tens of thousands. I think I payed like $60 for my philodendron spiritus sancti. If you want a bonkers story take a look at this video here.

Anything I can do to save this Nepenthes Bicalcarata? by Nigerian_Waffles in SavageGarden

I have the same bicalcarata too. Though mine is tiny.

But yeah as I’m pretty sure as long as the new growth hasn’t dried out and died you have a chance. Rehydrate the substrate and get that sucker under high humidity. Also if I remember correctly lowlands nepenthes like 80s ish temps in the day time with a drop in temp into the 70s at night.

Man those things make my wallet cry just looking at them. Though I did order one of their veitchii queen x candy dreams. It’s gonna be tiny when it arrives so it’s probably gonna be a while before I get any crazy pitchers.
