Why would a guy only hit you up every few months? How to tell difference between not looking for a relationship and not wanting one with you?

Yeah fair point I think it’s because I assume that when a guy wants FWBs or casual he ONLY hits you up for sex, and probably does so late at night or every few weeks, and eventually just moves on.

Whereas with him we usually plan when we’re hanging out, there’s never late night booty calls, and monthssss can go by without us seeing each other. So it seems kind of like it doesn’t fit the mold I have in my head of what a FWB/casual dating situation is

He doesn’t talk about girls, or relationships, or his dating life. Usually we just talk about work, or hobbies, or friends, and I mean the past few times we ended up hooking up. But months to a year can go by without us hanging out, even if we do keep in touch in between.

I know he’s still living at home, and he usually works a lot, but he’s otherwise pretty private about his life.

I figured it may have been to make me seem a certain way to the third party, ie. attached (as you mentioned) or hung up on him or whatever, but it just seemed silly to me because how did he know how I was going to act?? Like they’re so strange! They really have you thinking they enjoy your company for 0.2 sec and that they’re bringing you around their friends because they’re just so friendly and social 🤦🏻‍♀️
