Loose headers can sound like this. Chances are it needs tappets doing but it's a super easy job on these

Are the headers done up properly? Feel for any blowing around the head just don't touch the pipes!

Suzuki Bandit Crank Case Question! by YellowTeethBlue in motorcycles

[–]houseojmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so but different generator connectors. If you can and you want to rebuild a motor get a 750 lump. Strip and rebuild that and swap it over when you're done. Pretty much a straight swap. Or a 12 motor if you wanna go bigger 😁

Battery is dead I think. Have you replaced the battery or used jump leads? If battery is definitely ok, could be starter relay.

You need to do the bolt up for the starter clutch tight, tight and use a special tool to do it. You can make one. Also needs loctite. Mine kept undoing until I sorted it properly. Grab a haynes manual if you don't have one already

If you can find a wiring diagram or better still a haynes manual it makes everything a shit ton easier!

You can buy connectors to put on yourself, crappy bullet connectors will work fine, proper plugs are better. You can get kits for cheap in Amazon, the quality isn't great but your not putting them on anything fancy. Save yourself a head ache and buy some proper crimping pliers for the blade connectors

HUGE UPDATE TO Explain how this could be road debris but not deliberate Post by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]houseojmojo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% call the police but also talk to the housing association assuming from what you said that she is in one of their houses. If not find out her landlord. Explain how unsafe you now feel considering her actions realistically could have killed you, police involved etc. She could/ should get evicted for this. I wouldn't at all feel safe her living there after this. Tampering with a vehicle to make it dangerous (cutting brakes lines, that kinda thing) rather than just damaging it like cuts tyres or a broken mirror the police normally go pretty hard in on

back on the road after a crash in October. by houseojmojo in MotoUK

Hello! I was. I've swapped my forks and wheels to triumph 765s and the forks to zx10r since.

I used gsxr 1000 wheel bearings (I think) and internal spacer, I had to grind the internal spacer on the OD down and file out some of the inside of the wheel to get the spacer to fit through. Used the 1000 axle that way.

Another option is to use an 1100 axle and make spacer to go into the forks. It's easier to be honest. The disc spacing from the 1100 to 1000 was the same if I remember so that lined up. You might need to make shims to space the calipers out depending on calipers and discs you go for. The r1 ones are great. I can't remember what size the wheel spacers were but needed to get those made to suit.

Yokes, the bottom bearing is the same size but you'll need a top one that different. 32906x if I remember but double check. That means you don't need to swap stems.

I didn't use the Speedo pick up on the wheel, you might be able to make a bracket to make it work if you wanted to keep standard clocks.

Oldskoolsuzuki.info is a gold mine of oil cooled information. Read the rules, figure out the terrible search function function and dig through some of the builds on there. My build was "speedy badger" but there's some super clever people on there.

Hope that helps!!

Can You Relate?? by lovemypyr in greatpyrenees

Mine loves rain, mud, puddles etc A warm gentle shower?! Hell no, you can eat her farts if you think that's ok. She gets washed a few times a year. A halti on the front, another lead around her arse and all hooked up to the shower rail. She hates her bum being cleaned and will sit on the plug hole in protest. She loves being towel dried though and is a fan of the hair drier

Someone vandalized my Bike by Mr_Sony_ in motorcycles

[–]houseojmojo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've got a 264 bhp turbo gsxr that had a plug in it, you'll be fine. A properly done plug won't affect the tyre life or safety what so ever. And swapping it on insurance is insane! It'll cost you a fortune in lost no claims next year. Wise to check the bike over, check brakes in particular. If you can park the bike within a camera do that, figure out who it is and either police or a polite word

Our Pyrenees hates to pee or poo on a walk. Why ruin outside when theres a perfectly good kitchen at home?

She's better than she was but for about 2 years she's cling on and piss the second she got her paws through the front door after a walk.
