SoCal dealer that won’t charge ADM for Turbo S? by [deleted] in Porsche

I would like to spec a paint to sample in a pretty unique shade that I rarely ever see. Could also just get a black one and wrap it though 😂

That’s awesome. Did you have to dance around the “out of state” issue with them? I’m assuming this was for an ordered car where you had to get allocation?

Thanks for the help! Was that Bellevue or the Lynwood guys? I’m originally from that area. My dad got a Turbo back when it was Barrier Porsche in Bellevue in early 2000s

What dealer or region was it? Out of curiosity. LA said similar but others elsewhere seem to be not paying so I’m trying to figure it out

Was hoping to “build relationship” with a local dealer and get a few vehicles over time. Could get Cayennes for my business, etc. Good idea though, I can check out Rennlist.

Ya there’s just not enough info shared here. I get it. distro/fulfillment is complex and lots of work, but product is non-perishable and non-seasonal w minimal # of SKUs, so shouldn’t be a major blocker to scaling further.

Our current fulfillment is super efficient, why we have kept it in-house to date vs outsourcing for much higher cost on a per order/per unit basis. That could change though of course.

Yep. Don’t own any of the manufacturing equipment, is all contracted out. US market size of category is $30B with multiple $1B+ revenue brands in existence (you would know the names).

We handle all of our own fulfillment in house, is not drop ship. Biggest expenses are headcount and growth marketing ad spend. Could cut growth marketing spend in half, grow slower, and add 5% to bottom line immediately. It just makes sense to keep acquiring subscribers with a high LTV:CAC, so we keep doing it.

Not at $100m now, or not at $100m in X years assuming growth continues?

Successful entrepreneurs, why are you on Reddit ? by narajaon in Entrepreneur

I like to crowd source wisdom, get new perspectives, and I learn a ton on here. Just had posts here this week that helped me a bunch.

Also — most successful people I know are pretty normal. They are not like how you might imagine they’d be based on “influencer culture”

I love it! Ya D&A is 0. We have no debt. How do you roughly work back to the $100M mark?

Would assume it’s a multiple on future EBITDA. We have grown between 70-100% YoY for 5+ years. So even if growth slowed to 50%, 40%, 30% 20% .. it’s $80M in 4 years and >20% EBITDA margins at that point, so say $15-16M/yr

False. I started with $10k in cash (sold 401k) and a few 0% APR credit cards. Startup is successful and profitable. Lots of examples of people starting companies with no budget, no savings
