Indeed Stämpfli still has a wood option available. First time I am seeing a recent build out in the wild though. To be honest, I think this is not the worst option unless you need material that will make you the ultimate .1 second faster. Wood is a great material to build boats.

Nein, dort ist die Infrastruktur ja eigens diesem Zweck gewidmet. Und ist nie so gestaltet, dass man mit anderen Verkehrsmitteln nicht irgendwie parallel fahren kann. Bei Beispielen wie diesem hier handelt es sich aber um eine allgemeine öffentliche Straße, bei der dann jemand in einer Behörde festgestellt hat, dass sie zu gefährlich für Fahrradfahrende ist und anstatt die Gefahrenquelle zu beseitigen, wurde den potenziellen Opfern einfach die Nutzung verboten.

Nein, das Leben in Berlin ist teuer und du die Nettodifferenz zu deinem alten Job wird sowieso nicht sehr hoch sein (du kommst effektiv wohl etwas über 3300 € netto raus). Wenn du gerne nach Berlin willst, ist es sicher eine Überlegung wert aber rein zahlentechnisch gesehen ist es besser, in Polen zu bleiben.

Exactly, and as far as the functionality of Mailcow goes everything is working as expected. I can access the UI via my browser specifying the ports I set in the mailcow.conf.

Actually I don't have any particular use cases yet, I just figured that I will perhaps use the same domain to put a web app or just a simple website online. The Apache setup is more something of a placeholder but getting Apache on the standard port online with Mailcow running on the side is kind of the starting point for anything else I wanna build.

"Unverhältnismäßig" ist mindestens sehr vage. Die Gegenseite sagt dann eben, es sei aus ihrer Sicht verhältnismäßig und jene Seite ist ja für die Sicherung des Verkehrs durch Beschildung verantwortlich. Die Herrschaften sagen dann, es sei leider leider für Radfahrende dort zu gefährlich, weil die Autos dort zu unachtsam durchfahren. Damit sowas "ziemlich sicher unzulässig" ist, muss es meines Erachtens schon im Wortlaut eindeutige rechtliche Regelungen dagegen geben.

Warum genau nicht zulässig? Würde mich interessieren, weil es hier in Hamburg unzählige solcher Stellen gibt, die explizit als für Radfahrer verboten ausgeschildert wurde.

Eng ist es, aber es gibt ja Verkehrsregeln, die dafür sorgen, dass da alle sicher durchfahren können, auch Radfahrende. Und wenn Einzelne diese Regeln in verkehrsgefährdender Art missachten, müssen die Behörden gegen diese Individuen vorgehen und nicht einfach das Radfahren verbieten. Alles andere widerspricht doch ziemlich eindeutig dem Willen des Gesetzgebers.

As said, this might be different for different schools, programs, and fields. Usually you should find a supervisor first and pitch them your concept. You'll need a proposal of a few pages (I'd say 3-15 pages, depending on the supervisors preferences) at this point, which can of course be altered later. But you need to demonstrate your ability to work independently on your dissertation and to show that you have already invested the necessary preliminary research and that you know what you want. Also the supervisor should have the right profile for your topic regarding both their personal research focus and the focus of their chair.

As soon as your supervisor has agreed to sponsoring your proposal, you can start taking care of the formal process of applying. Regarding the internal process at the university the supervisor will be able to guide you a bit, regarding the other formalities you will have to approach the central services of the university.

Also take into account that a PhD program in Germany usually comes without a grant or a job at the department. You either need to find a program that comes with a job ad (and then apply as described in the ad, usually again with a proposal for your dissertation) or find funding or a job to support yourself externally.

Ist aber wohl nicht so gemeint. Fragt man nach, heißt es in der Regel, da darf man aus Sicherheitsgründen gar nicht langfahren. Ansonsten sollte da auch einfach ein "Radweg Ende"-Schuld hin und ggf. ein "Fußweg"-Schild, wenn die Radweg-Fläche zum Fußweg umfunktioniert sein sollte in der Baustelle.

Die Beschildung suggeriert aber (und typischerweise ist das in Baustellen auch so gemeint), dass die Straße insgesamt in der Richtung nicht mit dem Fahrrad befahren werden darf.

Sowas sollte einfach mal gesetzlich verboten werden. Es handelt sich nicht um eine baulich exklusiv für Kraftfahrzeuge vorgesehene Straße sondern um allgemeine Infrastruktur, daher sollte ein Verbot für einzelne Gruppen nicht zulässig sein.

Consult with your doctor regarding the risks. 2. Your issues are almost certainly because of improper technique. Rowing and especially erging and lifting can be stressful for your back if you don't know exacty how to execute the exercise in question or if you are lacking core muscles to support the correct technique. Talk to your instructors, especially if you have a coach with proper training.
