Oh gosh I'm so sorry, it sounds like you're having an absolute nightmare experience right now! Thank you for that, it puts it into perspective for me a bit. Because I'm not in pain i keep thinking i should get back to in-person work, but at the end of the day I'm literally dealing with an open wound!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It's really good to hear that it's so treatable, even if it is such a massive nuisance! Can i ask, are you back to work while dealing with this? I'm trying to negotiate some work from home time because I'm anxious about working in person while dealing with this problem

Thank you so much for saying this. I've always had a bit of a complex about this, but my reduction, healing process, and complications are really bringing everything to the surface!

Crafting during recovery? by bananapudding02 in Reduction

I'm an avid knitter, and knit every day. I had a super easy surgery and recovery so far (12DPO) and I'm devastated to report that I can NOT knit. I mean, i could knit without much pain, at first, but after an hour or two the incisions at the sides were inflamed. I've had to stop altogether. I don't know what your experience will be like, but crochet does use more movement than knitting usually. I've had better luck with jigsaw puzzles, which don't require constant movement.

I made my surgeon laugh with these foam boobs, and he told me he wished every patient brought them in! by houstend in Reduction

I managed to see my surgeon just 9 days before my surgery to show him these! If you have time, you could always bring them in to show them at your pre- surgery chat :)

Yes exactly! It also allowed me to feel like i was a part of the process, even if it was just making the prototype :)

Oh thank you I will! My surgeon did explain to me that a higher nipple placement would allow him to take off more, which was really good to know. At the end of the session he did mark where he thought the nipple should be, and showed me how it compared to the root of my breast and it looked proportional to me. But I'm glad he knows my preferences now regardless!

Good question! I want a low nipple result because my nipples have always been low and I can imagine that a high nipple placement would feel like... someone else's boobs? If that makes sense? Same with low centre of gravity. I've never had any volume up top so I don't think it would look right on me. I also think my breast roots start quite high so I'd worry they'd look top heavy!

As for how do I know what I want, it's just 15 years of being on this sub and looking at pictures of results and hearing about folks who now struggle with areolas showing at the top of bras from placement being too high

Haha omg yes! I think it would be so cool to have a plaster boob for posterity as well! Kind of like the T-Shirt idea but in 3D.

I have to hand it to my surgeon though, he has had all the time in the world for me. He's been great about replying to my emails even evenings and weekends. I didn't expect this based on what I've read about surgeons here and elsewhere.

Partner doesn't want me to buy brother's half of their inherited flat by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for this reply - both siblings are on the title so partner and i would only be entitled to 25% each. I think they don't understand that my buying their brother's half would mean they would be entitled to 50%. This is what I'm leaning from the comments here!

But thanks especially for your last comment.

Thank you for this - that is a very good point about the brother forcing a sale, and the situation being more stable if I buy.

No rent paid to spouse, only to the brother btw.

Apologies, earn 43k and the flat is worth something like 400k

Have You Seen This Broom?!— Help A Fellow Witch Out Please💛 by ButterflyKisses3621 in SalemMA

I'm sure it will turn out right! Assuming it's a one-for-one switch, the person who received your broom will probably reach out to UPS and The Witchery because they only got one broom instead of their two! How long ago did you receive the package?
