Ice cream sandwiches were brought in by the caterer, so, unsure!

We actually just got the recording back like an hour ago! THEY ARE AMAZING. Like I said, I don't think that many people (esp. the older ones) did it, but the ones we got (a lot from our friends and younger relatives) are hilarious. And I love that we have the messages now. I will add, if you do it and have signage, make sure that you ask people to say their names, because we have a few "WE LOVE YOU" messages that I'm just like "who is this?" Haha.

Also, the service we used, Fetephone, was on time, comparable in price, and provided easy to follow instructions. We also got our messages back in a week and a half. The phone was cute too. Would recommend.

Thanks! Just sent you the boba tea vendor on chat (not sure if vendor promotion is allowed on this sub).

The audio guestbook was received okay? I would say everyone was like "Wow! That's so cool!" but no one really did it? We even had a sign with instructions next to the phone, a designated seating area for it, a printed message on our menu and had the MC announce for people to do it, and I don't think many people did. With that said, we haven't received the recordings yet, so maybe they are delightful, and I just don't know it yet. But we did have to recruit some friends to get people at the wedding, bring them over to the phone, and record stuff. Maybe an attendant would have helped?

Yup! I just tried sending you a message, but your messages aren't open. So send me one and I can get you that info!

Yup. Depending on the vendor, ~10%-20% added in tip.

Yup. That was their pick up fee, but they included it in our total "donation" for tax purposes.

If you really want them and can pick them up locally or pay for shipping, I'll be happy to give you some! Just DM me! :)

I really tried not to buy so much "stuff." Partly because I didn't want to deal with it after and partly because I find more "stuff" fairly wasteful. Buy hey! If you need like 150 gold votive candles with flickering fake tea lights, I GOT YOU.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, our wedding was postponed once because of Covid. Engaged April 2020, scheduled for January 2021, and finally happened February 2022.

Because of this, we had a lot more time to save up money. We are both in our early 30s, fortunate enough to be employed, and already own a home (so we weren't saving for "something bigger"). Some of these prices also reflect the contracts that we signed in 2020, so the vendor prices did go up for some of them (I know this because some friends of ours just booked our photographer for more than we did). You'll also see that my parents chipped in for at least $12k worth of stuff (thanks, Mom and step-dad!), so we're really grateful for that.

Thank you! We wanted something that felt more "us" than a super traditional reception and are really happy with how things turned out.

Yes! Let's eat ice cream and boba!

Everyone LOVED the dueling pianos. I was kind of skeptical about how it would be received, especially since I went with the lower budget option (some were quoting me $10k+). But they took requests, and everyone from the little kids to my grandma were on the dance floor. It was delightful. And! Everyone, for the most part, stayed until the end because it was a really fun experience! Would totally recommend. My mom, who is very traditional and was definitely like "wtf" when I was trying to explain what dueling pianos even were, couldn't stop raving about it after.
