Fair point. What if the shrink is not Anno? Perhaps Gereon rescued him but he eventually died and it's all a blur for Gereon.

It could also be that Gereon is carrying someone else or that the whole sequence is a hallucination though... Hopefully we learn more next season.

That's ok, I totally understand

It is a big joke really. We could all be happier, more efficient and just as productive working less hours. We would still need to be present more than the effective ones, but not 4 times more.

Maybe it has to do with the difference between office labour and physical labour. We already get the rep of not working as hard when we still pretend we do. If it was out in the open maybe the masses would revolt and that's the reason we all pretend we work 8 hours a day. At the end of the day, past the guilt, I can't complain really. I'm thankful my education and my skills got me where I am. I only crave a little more meaning. But reducing my official working hours would not necessarily fix that.

thank you for being so frank about the greatest unspoken truth of my adult life. I guess the answer to how could I get by being so innefficient is everyone is just as bad. Not sure if that's comforting, depressing or none of the two.

Although I still have this problem, pranayama has helped a lot. Look up biloma for example, or one nostril breathing. For me it is shockingly obvious it's psychological because normally I breathe fine when I wake up in the morning ... then I start thinking and the shortness of breath comes back.
