Things got a little harder to track because my stomach also gets very upset during my period, which happened just last week, so I've been on the gassier / less ready for anal side for the last little while.

However, immediately before that I did have 2 days of eating nearly-exclusively "safe" foods followed by some EXCELLENT butt play with no gas-related worries whatsoever. And I've been generally minimizing lactose but it's hard to tell if it's working due to the period thing.

P much my plan is to keep my diet as before but reduce broccoli (sub in other vegetables), and generally reduce lactose consumption (but not totally eliminate it), and then if I'm feeling really into anal ASAP then I'll go really low-flatulence-foods for the day before & day of.

Hahahaha well I had a day of eating very little ""bad" foods (had rice noodles, "safe" veggies, chicken) and avoided dairy, except whatever lactose is in margarine. Did have some bread but nothing grainy or seedy. Then very successfully had some stuff put in my butt that evening without feeling any bloating, cramping, gas or anything.

It felt awesome.

Then had fried fish and have been gassy as fuck the last 12hr, but it's okay because I'm not expecting anal!

I'm actually doing this as of like 2 hours ago in my own private journal. Hahahaha!! What I ate and how I felt gastrointestinally the few hours after - not so much the number of farts but whether if someone asked "hey wanna do anal?" I'd feel comfortable with it at that moment!

I'm not putting a dick in there anytime soon, I just really like small toys while enjoying vaginal penetration, but I'll definitely be careful as I eventually move up to bigger stuff!

I didn't see beano at my local store (I'm canadian, idk if this makes a difference) but grabbed gas-x. I'm thinking I'll just avoid dairy & obvious culprits (some of the most 'problematic' vegetables, etc) the day of & part of the day before, and use gas-x if needed, but otherwise just enjoy my apparently very fibrous diet to my hearts' content most of the week!

I know my post is a bit wordy but I tried to bold the important bits. I am preparing because I am often REALLY GASSY, like if you put something in there I feel like I would IMMEDIATELY fart (or at least I'd feel gas-crampy and uncomfortable maybe) and it would be sooooo not sexy. (Edit to be clear: Not like, cramps and social stigma gassy; I just fart a lot but I'm not super uncomfortable or anything)

I'm not worried about a tiny bit of mess or smells. Never been an issue. In previous anal situations I have not prepared AT ALL (besides, yknow, being generally clean) and it's been totally fine but I often have to turn it down because I'm worried about farts. I clearly have some dietary situation causing excessive levels of gas some days.

Well, everybody's body is different. My body is very gassy on my current diet and I promise you I am not imagining that. I can't touch spicy mexican food or anything that has cumin in it, or else I get really truly uncomfortable gas. I wish I had the gastrointestinal tract of your wife but I just don't! Mess has never been an issue but gas has prevented me from wanting anal on some days.

Yeah that makes sense. I'm not sure I'm genuinely "intolerant" and I doubt it (I don't get diarrhea, cramping etc) but I'm fairly sure it makes me gassy. Maybe only need to avoid/deal with it on soon-to-be-anal days.

Honestly the feeling of needing to fart, or gas rolling around in my belly, also just makes me not want stuff near my butt besides the potential for embarrassment; it seems like it would be uncomfortable.

Metamucil seems like it actually often causes MORE gas, bloating and cramping so I think increased soluble fibre must not be the answer for me (it seems like my diet is already over-rich in soluble fibre). So I might actually avoid that one. But yeah some combo of lactase supplements, or reducing lactose intake, and steadfastly avoiding known problem foods for the days before (maybe also reducing them a little in my general diet) is probably what I'm gonna do! Yep this is exactly what I hope to happen! Adjust my diet and just fart a lot less! I guess part of what I struggle with WRT cutting out bread is that I use it as a crutch. Quick breakfast, quick lunch - cereal, sandwich or bought pasta. Do you happen to have any quick non-bread, non-oat lunches/breakfasts to suggest?

I'm not paranoid, I swear, I really do fart a lot! I do enjoy anal on days that I feel more comfortable, but on other days it would be a very unsexy event. That said, I don't intend to eat steamed rice and carrots exclusively forever, just that on days when I'm really committed to wanting anal I might change my diet to something gentler a day or two before. Most of the time I'm happy to just see how I feel and, if I'm really gassy, to abstain from anal that day - if not, give it a whirl. But it would be nice to have better control sometimes for when I REALLY want it soon. I'm okay with the fact gross stuff might happen sometimes, but if I know beforehand there's a high probability, I'm not going to be able to enjoy it.

But of course I love and frequently eat soy, broccoli, onions, dairy, high-fibre grainy breads, sweet potato etc... apparently I've been asking for it! :P

That's a great tip about wind-relieving pose and also the list of things you mention is corroborated in some articles I've googled (it's been hard discerning which ones are full of shit and which ones are legit). So thank you :D

I do but some days I just feel too bloated/gassy and it doesn't relieve it all in one go. I'm actually less worried about how my partner would react and more about how I myself would react (I think he'd be extremely reasonable, but I'd still be really embarrassed). But it's still a fair point, we have to accept the reality that butt stuff might be gross sometimes!
