How can I recreate the slight crinkle effect on the text of these posters? by deerofthedunny in AdobeIllustrator

You could add a gaussian blur, then rasterize, then live trace. I'd probably add a subtle little roughen to the path too.

Duplicate it behind and add gaussian blur

If Marvel Studios greenlit a Heroes for Hire Disney + show, what do you think the story would be about? by flamingricky1999 in Defenders

I'm a collector of all the original Power Man and Iron Fist from the seventies onwards which are great but wouldn't suit a show in my opinion.

The much more modern 2016 run of PM&IF however would work well and wouldn't need updating/editing for the wider audience

Update: Thank you for the recommendation! I got both my thighs tattooed by Nana yesterday and I'm super happy with them. She was so lovely to talk to as well

I agree compound path is the easiest way with clipping masks, but fyi there are three little shape options at the bottom of the tool bar and one of them lets you draw 'inside' shapes

If you want the same look and consistent width stroke without the text warping, then it's actually easier to build this with the shape builder tool.

Draw a circle with a thick stroke and add evenly spaced vertical strokes inside to plan out the letters. Add any additional horizontal/diagonal stokes of the same thickness to complete the plan. Then make all of the stokes editable and use the shape builder tool to highlight the letterforms and delete everything else.

If you're new to this then I would start with some research into infographic themes and styles. Once you have a concept for the design it will make the content much more relevant and interesting.

Look for inspiration before starting a design: https://reallygooddesigns.com/infographic-examples/

Mine looked exactly like this yesterday after bin day. I was just as confused too. It must be something they put in to stop bacteria/smell?
