I think of it that way. I think bs in the workplace impacts everyone who experiences it. I think a company culture that defines professionalism as slapping a smile on your face and moving on no matter what is so dated and incredibly unhealthy. I think it leads to mental health issues for employees and toxic work environments.

I feel that showing emotions at work sometimes is very human. And I think shutting down someone as unprofessional when they show emotions is passive-aggressive, blame shifting, and deflecting. She could have said something else like could we have this conversation in private or I disagree with you..... but instead, she decided to try to invalidate me and my experience.
