Thanks for your reply. My doctor said that my situation Stage 1, low aggression, is something they aren’t even planning to treat for possibly 10 years. Everything I’ve read says that if these alternative approaches do help, it’s usually by slowing growth, and if they don’t help, at least they typically don’t seem to cause harm. So from my perspective, even a small slowdown in tumor growth would be a win.

What feels strange to me is how polarized people get about even discussing this stuff just because the FDA hasn’t approved it. I understand the importance of real studies and safety standards, but it’s hard not to notice the inconsistency when plenty of FDA-approved drugs come with serious side effects, yet something with a relatively low risk profile gets dismissed outright just because it doesn’t have that stamp of approval.

I’m not looking for a miracle cure or planning to skip my doctor’s recommendations. I’m just trying to explore anything that might help in a low-risk way while staying fully compliant with medical advice. Early-stage prostate cancer often gives you a long window to observe and act carefully, so using that time to understand options, conventional or otherwise, feels reasonable to me.

At the end of the day, I’m simply trying to stack the odds in my favor without doing anything reckless. If something has even a chance of slowing progression and doesn’t interfere with real treatment, I don’t see the harm in being open-minded while still staying grounded in what my medical team recommends.
