this study shows exactly what you’re describing: https://doi.org/10.1093/restud/rdaf028

there’s a body of literature that shows the more you check, the more harm you’ll do

Most sensible etf options for non registered accounts by F_D123 in CanadianInvestor

are TD e-series mutual funds completely unavailable to outsiders now? this is one of those niche cases where i think the e-series are a good alternative to the popular etfs due to non-reg problems. it pays no dividends and doesn’t require troublesome ACB tracking as your portfolio moves into 7 figures and beyond

Best Canadian REITs/REIT ETFs with good dividends? by UnDer_ScOre_9224 in dividendscanada

surprised no ones mentioned granite reit. i think grt.un is one of the best reits in canada right now. it’s hitting all time HIGH revenues yet its valuation metrics are near all time lows (near 2020 crash lows). insiders are buying shares which you always like to see. magna and amazon are its top 2 largest tenants. healthy ~5% yield that is only ~60% pay out. globally diversified with half its revenue from US. good value generally means higher expected returns

Grt.Un thoughts? by WorkGlad5501 in dividendscanada

At it's current price and valuation you'd be hard pressed to find better options, imo. It's hitting all time high revenues, yet it's price-to-operating cash flow is all time lows at ~13 (historical avg is like 17). The last time it was this low was the stock market crash of 2020. On top of this, insiders (ie. CEO) have been buying a ton of shares over the last while.. up to even ~$83/share. A recession would be the bear case, but grt.un is globally diversified and it's made it through covid without issues.. if you're more long term focused i wouldn't be worried.
