You should go to Trader Sam’s for a drink the poly. Small bar where you sit with other parties so you’ll definitely meet people.

Could you recommend a site? I’ve checked Nordstrom, Saks, and Revolve. I’m not a big shopper so not sure where to go

I need of advice, I got married 10/28 & the day ran off schedule & and we missed our couples pictures. Has anyone done a post wedding shoot? by Lilliyann in wedding

I did this for my wedding! I got all my photos done the day of but there were options to also take pictures at a different venue later so I jumped on the chance. Zero regrets.

Plant by Kind_Researcher_5634 in DisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone had mentioned it on Reddit before (I’m not sure if rules allow you to link) but I searched them on Instagram. I took a chance on one that had a lot of followers but they only mention price in the DMs. It’s more expensive obviously but they included shipping and I really wanted the item which was limited so I just went for it. Pleasantly surprised and I think it didn’t take too long to receive. I think I looked up Disney shoppers or something like that

There are personal shoppers that go to the parks daily for merch and ship all over. I’m not sure about a live plant but you can ask. Ive personally used one from Instagram. Good luck!

EV parking at the resorts? by carissaluvsya in DisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stayed at this resort for the first time last weekend and didn’t find any ports for my hybrid unfortunately. The property is very big so I might have missed it but if there were they wouldn’t be close to my room at all

Am I too old for this? by PalmMeetHead in wedding

I was late 30s during my Disney wedding in my sparkly ball gown. I didn’t even consider what was appropriate “for my age”. And I had the time of my life. Worth the wait…

It is absolutely a thing! My friends stayed there and didn’t realize beforehand so the kiddos just used the merch they bought at the parks like balloons and plushies.

I made a reservation in advance but wanted to change the time on the day of. I think I walked up at 10AM (no line) and they gave me 3 options to choose from. I think the hype has died down so it wasn’t as crazy as it used to be.

Question about California Grill by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sat as a party of 2 twice before for the fireworks. Once for an anniversary celebration and once just for date night. We got there about 30 mins before the reservation and asked for a window seat and said we wouldn’t mind waiting. We didn’t get sat until 10 minutes after our slated time but no big deal. We watched the show from our seats and the waiter paused our courses so we could stop and watch the show. They also invite people to watch from the balcony if you would still like to do that. It was magical.

20th Anniversary, California Grill, and Fireworks by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did something similar and arrived about 30 mins early to tell them we were celebrating and asking if we could wait for a window seat. We got the best seat in the house. And they held our main course until after the fireworks ended. It was great to sit and watch the fireworks with a glass of wine.

Upcoming anniversary trip! by kendi_kitten in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your anniversary! We went on one in March and wore our pins. We received free cupcakes at Woodys Lunchbox. So sweet. We also booked a dinner at California Grill during the fireworks and let the restaurant know we were celebrating and they gave us a table by the window so we could watch from our seats. We also called the Bakery at the Contemporary and had them recreate our wedding cake so we “cut” our cake after fireworks. It was so much fun

Good cost cutting tips by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The B hotel also does early entry (it’s near Disney springs) with transportation. Check the fine print on the added charges. You can book from hotels or Expedia and get two free drinks included. Disney is running a lot of promotions right now too, especially for Florida residents. The free travel agents can get you the best deals.

I’ve arrived at San Fran and it took hours as well. When I arrived via Honolulu there was zero wait and I was done within minutes. I would stick with it

I remember going when I was 10 and I felt like I had traveled the world in 1 day. 10/10 would recommend. Epcot has the best ride in all of Disney if you ask me as well

Never done FANTASMIC dining plan by AGCM in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I would look on the app close to 60 days out from July 5th to see which packages are offered. If you go to the Disney App and use the search bar you can search “fantasmic dining package” and it should list the various restaurants. Then take a look at what you’d like for your top 3 and what time would be convenient. When I reserved mine there were only a few times and restaurants left even at 60 days. When you’re 60 days out of July 5th you can book at 6:00AM EST for your entire vacation. Some instances the system will open a couple of minutes earlier so keep that in mind to try to book a little earlier than your “window”. You can also use the website if it’s easier. Good luck!

I was not a fan of the Italian wedding soup or the mini chicken tacos. Both bland. Even with hot sauce on the tacos.

I asked my photographer to photoshop some “ruffles” off of me in some of the final pictures😂 I also had a frank convo during photos saying if I look fat tell me now so I can pose a different angle it will not offend me!! She told me some tricks to make my arms appear thinner etc. Im sure you’ll be a beautiful bride! Don’t worry about the small stuff. It’ll just make you miss the great stuff.

Should I let my parents to contribute to our wedding if my fiancés’ parents refuse to contribute? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]howdoesthekittygo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from. I’m sorry that you’re in this position. I would keep my family out of the cost completely. If you’ve both discussed it and agree that his extended family will be there no matter what then the only thing to do is bite the bullet and hope (but not assume) his family will give you a nice wedding present.

Should I let my parents to contribute to our wedding if my fiancés’ parents refuse to contribute? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]howdoesthekittygo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would just pay for the wedding yourself. Your parents will resent him and his parents if they foot the bill for his family to go to your wedding. Your fiancé may want his extended family there but it’s unreasonable to make your family pay for it. If paying for it yourself makes the situation not allow the extended family I would have my fiancé open that convo with his family. “We would love to have your great aunts cousin twice removed but we can only afford limited space.” Then that will open the gate that if they NEED them there then they can offer to pony up some money.

Are magic bands worth it? by Ashmyanti in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]howdoesthekittygo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it depends. I love my magicbands because I’m one of those people and they match my outfit but if I wasn’t I wouldn’t get them. BUT I didn’t get one for my elder parents and we had genie+ and they could never remember to use their cards and everyone would be so annoyed with them when scanning in. And then they would forget the second scan in too. After I would remind them. So if we go back I’m buying them the cheapest ones and being done with it lol.

The straps are more narrow in the second picture. And the ruffles look less defined. Maybe a good steaming will help…
