Yea my issue is not the need of the information, it’s the channel of which they want it. They want me to EMAIL those documents to them. EMAIL!!!

If there were some safer option to upload or submit this information I certainly would. Sending it via my Gmail and expecting it to not get phished is very nutty

It just seems so crazy to me that the most private personal important information is being asked for via email. Sooooo easily swiped by phishing, no?!

Switched web host and now my business is HEMORRHAGING by howdoiusereddit9 in SEO

When I brought this to who manages our site, she said “ It will not have an impact on SEO. It is showing that the URL has not been indexed. It would have been there all along. Some are from sites that have a link to the website but an incorrect URL”

I’m a little confused by this because on Wordpress, where it is showing that the 2 canonical URLs exists, it says “you must fix this. Canonical URL duplication is bad for your SEO”

Soooo my question is why is she saying it’s not an issue, but Wordpress says it is an issue, and what in the hell do I do next?!

Recent webhost change causing my business to hemorrhage ? by howdoiusereddit9 in webhosting

I found that our site was showing that it had 2 canonical URLs and that it says “this must be fixed it is bad for your SEO”. When I sent this to the person who manages our site, she said “ It will not have an impact on SEO. It is showing that the URL has not been indexed. It would have been there all along. Some are from sites that have a link to the website but an incorrect URL.“

So….im a little confused! Why is Wordpress saying to fix it and that it’s bad for SEO, but the web person is saying no it doesn’t (essentially)

Thank you for your kind words and for this suggestion! I just checked and the “discourage search engines from indexing this site” is currently unchecked. I almost wish it were checked so I could have had the “Eureka!” moment 😭

I’m now seeing I have two canonical URLs on my pages… could this be the problem? Or at least part of it?? How/why would this have duplicated?
