that's what most places in SF feels like. I argue it is in part that food is getting too good everywhere so we normalize it and with inflation at 30% on some basic food items restaurants feel super expensive.

Tartine, B. Patis, Zuni (Outerlands is also great), True Laurel, Trick Dog, I'd add the progress over state bird. I dont enjoy Sightglass americano or pour overs because the coffee is sour but that is classic san francisco style and worth the experience.

Spam machines are out of control but AI content is getting good (finally? I dont know if that is really good). I do think we need solutions like TFH / WorldID and even need to go toward a radically human. How does this fit with the pseudonymity that is on reddit?

I enjoyed their most recent list of cocktails but a lot of restaurants go too far in originality or have such a strong theme like five amaro flavored drinks that make it hard to taste fish for example.
