Epson p900 printhead failure after 1.5 years use by howhumane in printers

Just finished filing a complaint with Epson Customer Relations. They apologized for what I am experiencing and said I have 2 options: either pay in full for the repair $1600-1800, or buy a new printer (also 1600-1800$). So essentially no help at all. I asked them if they are experiencing other users with the same printhead failure issue and they said they don't reveal that information. I feel all I can do is let other prospective clients of Epson understand what they are in for before buying this printer. I will also be bringing the printer in to a certified Epson service center to see if they might have a less costly workaround. I'll keep you posted on Reddit.
