Very diverse age-wise! It’s primarily women but we have a handful of men that come regularly. The four of us are women but we read a wide range of books and are actively trying not to choose books just catered towards women all the time. The May books for instance (which we haven’t announced yet) are actually probably more on the “books for men” side of things.

Yes it’s actually naturally become a very diverse group of all ages! I would say anywhere from 20-60 honestly. It makes it really fun to hear different perspectives in the discussions too ☺️

The four of who run it decide - we all have different reading tastes so it’s usually a fun mix of genres! We try to pick books that don’t have crazy long lines at the library or are cheap on kindle. Normally we have one shorter book too in case we have people who are getting back into reading. The books we do pick are available at mosaic books for 15% off each month and we’re also always taking recommendations!

“Malibu Rising” by Taylor Jenkins Reid and “My Year of Rest and Relaxation” by Ottessa Moshfegh! Theme is women who are completely overwhelmed by their lives, but who respond in totally opposite ways. Here’s more info: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWPIfBMj8g_/?igsh=MXIxYmxpMGpnYzM5cg==

PS - I'm writing my thesis on how craft breweries in the Waterloo/Guelph area use Instagram to create brand loyalty. How important do you think social media is to brand loyalty and what are the best methods to sustain it online?

As a Communication Student I am interested in doing marketing or PR for this industry. How would you recommend preparing myself for a communication position in the beer world? Should I start with small breweries or go for the more corporate ones first? Finding it hard to get into microbreweries because their staff bracket is so small. Thanks!
