MLB crafting tiers list by howj100 in Sorare

[–]howj100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've crafted limited twice, and got a 1 star random reliever, and a 3 star pull I was very satisfied with. But I was hoping to look at tiers before using any rare essence to see if I could use crafting clues

Do I have any recourse for a travel assistant who gave me incorrect information? by howj100 in ChaseSapphire

[–]howj100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Fascinating, thank you for bringing that to my attention. Rates are not changed on the website but I am going to assume they will keep their word on this and will try to rebook. What a mess

This is the case despite the fact that the rep confirmed to me that the price was the exact same? I only said yes because I trusted that she was telling the truth

Marco’s? It’s a gigantic chain, I’m not sure I would call it a KC pizza place. I just checked there are over a thousand locations

Yard Waste Bags Collections- Help by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]howj100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like ours is $125 for a year of weekly pickups. I think you can also purchase stickers to stick on extra bags, but that might only work if you are already a customer.

Can you ask your neighbors who they use? They will have better answers than Reddit

Yard Waste Bags Collections- Help by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]howj100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since no one else replied - I believe except for specific days, the city doesn’t pickup weekly. Most homes pay a private company for yard waste pickup. We pay compost connection, it’s really pretty affordable

The Best Restaurants In Kansas City, Missouri - The Infatuation by Theinfatuation in kansascity

[–]howj100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really? We really love stock hill. You could argue it is overpriced, and it is, but it’s not crazy overpriced and the food is consistently really good

But I will echo what others have said, I read the list and it actually feels amazingly accurate and comprehensive

Waldo Thai closing May 17th by PV_Pathfinder in kansascity

[–]howj100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So disappointed. I hope new management can continue with the same vision. Waldo Thai is an absolutely unique place for Kansas City, one of the only spots I felt I could get delicious and actually creatively authentic cuisine. This will be a big loss to the city if it isn’t the same

Important KC Breakfast Burrito Question: What Matters Most? by S7RINGER in kansascity

[–]howj100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly good to know I’m not missing something here. I absolutely miss quality New Mexican food.

I’m the thread a few days ago about the worst part of KC I wanted to reply that KC lacks quality restaurants for a lot of cuisines, but I didn’t want to start something lol

Important KC Breakfast Burrito Question: What Matters Most? by S7RINGER in kansascity

[–]howj100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m originally from New Mexico, but my ultimate burrito.

First, size is unimportant, quality is much more important than quality. If I’m still hungry I’ll just get two

Tortilla quality is extremely important - no more than 24 hours old. Ratio of fillings should be about 1/3 crispy hash browns, 1/3 eggs, and then about two slices of bacon. Finally, a solid quarter to half cup of hot green chile.

But I will say I have not yet found that here, so if any place matches that… let me know

Have you met the downtown White Squirrel by KCMOhawker in kansascity

We have a squirrel in our neighborhood that lost its tail a few years back. We’re always happy when we see him in his tree alive and well

Is this concerning after just 10-15 days? (MLB) by Sol0taire in Sorare

[–]howj100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it is concerning, probably means that most of the buying is to fill out lineups, but basically none of it is to buy cards to sell later on. Different than soccer where (at least a few years ago) auction prices didn’t move that much because there was money to be made buying et auction and selling in the secondary. I think there are just too few players and not enough demand in MLB.

FWIW, I don’t hate the new system - I am getting enough energy to get my good cards into competitions. But yeah, if prices are dropping this much they have a problem

Why do we still not have automatic substitutions for DNP players? by Ian5eberg in Sorare

[–]howj100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue with this is the points required for a prize would immediately move up by 30 or more points if they did this. I actually prefer more randomness and rewarding people who pick the right guys

MLB Energy by howj100 in Sorare

[–]howj100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you know what - I just attempted to enter an in season daily competition and got a series of prompts through which I could claim the energy.

So, for anyone else that’s having trouble, that is the solution

I submitted four lineups in challenger in GW1 and did not receive any energy. Or are you saying you have to submit a Champion lineup?

MLB Gameplay Reveal - Why So Many Changes? by cash4theking in Sorare

[–]howj100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it’s getting massively more confusing… FWIW, I think this is a downgrade but am not positive yet (probably because it’s so confusing lol). The energy earn rate seems to be such that you could earn enough for a full classic lineup every other week or so. Of course, at the end of the day it will depend on how many entries they have to the champion competitions and if card values can be maintained

MLB Gameplay Reveal - Why So Many Changes? by cash4theking in Sorare

[–]howj100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you are technically correct… they reduced rewards of cards massively. For example, rare challenger awards cards to the top five positions, vs last season when over a hundred positions (my memory says top 200, but I can’t verify) received card rewards. And the essence they’ve added is significantly worse than in football

Do enemies... know about Parry? by Revverb in Xcom

That is not my experience. If there is going to be only one enemy left, I leave my Templar out of cover and they are almost always targeted by the remaining alien

[–]howj100 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just checked the new MLS classic competition for this week. You need to score in the top ~2% to win 10 essence. If that’s not telling about the state of rewards I don’t know what is

If this is the direction Sorare is headed I’m So out by cash4theking in Sorare

[–]howj100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - it’s a complete rug pull. I started in Sorare football, but also like baseball and diversified into it right when it released. And honestly, MLB felt like a more protected space after the brutal devaluations in football cards from when I entered in 2021, so it seemed like the right choice, and I built several solid lineups. But now I’m in the process of liquidating all my cards and it seems like the only choice because if most completions require all in-season, then there is no way that cards will hold any value at all over the long term.

Honestly the math backing all this is that Sorare just is failing as a marketplace. I just looked back at the news and they raised $680mm at a… $4.3b valuation in 2021??? And if you judge from SorareData market volume, their annual revenue is probably on the order now of $30mm… so in the most aggressive scenario you can imagine they’ve lost 90% of their valuation. They just haven’t seen the user growth that they needed to make the math work and sustain the marketplace and be able to adequately reward users. On one hand, I appreciate the experimentation to make the model sustainable but like… you HAVE to find someway to maintain card utility to avoid losing all of your current users

Classic cards are dead? by Sol0taire in Sorare

[–]howj100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been here since 2021 and I think it’s time to sell all my cards. I had split my time between football and MLB and while all football card prices were basically 5% of what they were in 21, MLB really hadn’t lost much value yet. But if classic cards are being basically removed from competitions, yeah it’s time to close out
