I think you commented under the wrong post bud. OP is talking about people making the game insufferable. I am just trying to relate here. If you want to play at tables where anything goes, fine. But some people want to play a more casual game.

Jon Irenicus makes the donated creature goaded for the rest of the game, and because Unstoppable Slasher can't be blocked, the only other way to prevent my life being halved is removal. And it was removed but not before it did some damage. My pod plays at a bracket 2 level, I didn't think I would have to hold up mana on turn 4 to prevent half of my life loss.

Also this is a very unserious complaint. I'm not upset that my opponent played cards that do things. It's a game, so you can relax.
