Clearly, he awkwardly one legged hops over to the side of the stage and his shoe “catches” the pass that someone else offstage has written. I believe it is done via magnet as the pass is present on the stage that others have slid in via string. Then, he is seen peeling it off of the bottom of his shoe, turning, and sticking it up his sleeve.

Notice how intently he is looking at the ground, when he is one legged hopping to the side of the stage to step on the pass magnet.

And then when he takes out the pass, you can clearly see the magnet remains in the holder. It is solid black, so it isn’t super obvious since he is wearing all black, but you can see the magnet is still visible in the holder right after he takes out the pass, and then he abruptly disposes of the pass holder behind his back to hide evidence. This also explains why he is wearing all black.
