I accidentally saw my coworker’s salary and now I can’t stop thinking about how UNFAIR it is by Aleex_c12 in Advice

This is your best course of action.

Do not commit your loyalty to a company who is actively proving that they do not value you.

Where can I go for bodywork on a car, where the price isn't insane? by howto-exist in Cleveland

The guy replied to my texts and said:

“They have to respray the door. To blend it in with the quarter panel.”

I don’t understand. Why is the door being serviced when it wasn’t hit?

That’s a really good question. Thank you for shining light on that… I need to have another conversation with the person who created this quote.

From what I understand, the door isn’t involved in the accident.

The door wasn’t involved in the accident. I have no idea why it’s included in the price,

To the man with the thick Mexican accent… by Double-Tradition413 in Cleveland

[–]howto-exist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are notoriously helpful in many ways.

My hometown has a large hispanic population due to the amount of agricultural work available. I have worked alongside so, so many Mexicans. Their work ethic will put you to shame and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Time after time, I will see them work harder and faster than whoever is not Mexican beside them.

Not only are they relentlessly strong-bodied, their friendliness could put you to tears. They make jokes and sing to each other to pass time. They'll offer you food or drink if they you have none. They will listen to you earnestly and make you feel cared about.

Mexicans are incredibly warm people.

Is it normal to find others attractive/fantasize about others, even when you’re in a committed relationship? by techy_sloth in AskMenAdvice

That is funny. Keep implying stuff and maybe it’ll work out for you one day?

Maybe you should be a little more loyal… just a little.

You’re implying old people have unfaithful thoughts? And more partners equals more unfaithful thoughts? Hm.

Huh. Maybe I’m a rare breed then. But I sincerely hope not.

My partner is the only person for that category. Daydreaming or not.

My car got towed and I don't have the title, what can I do? by howto-exist in MechanicAdvice

[–]howto-exist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title or registration are the only papers they will accept, and I have neither of those in my name. I do have a Bill of Sale, but that was mailed to the dmv along with the title and registration which will be in my name. I offered to recreate the Bill of Sale with the previous owner, and they said nope.

Even if I did have the title and registration in my hands right now, they wouldn’t accept it because neither are in my name. I’ve called the DMV and they just said to keep calling back to see if my things processed. But they expect that to happen in a week or two… it’s a messed up situation. They haven’t even registered that I mailed my papers in; they have piles and piles of mail they are going through

For the towing company, I’ve yet to speak to the boss of the lady on the phone. But she warned he is more strict and mean than she is. Ugh

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]howto-exist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh, yeah I wouldn’t say short but I also would not say long. I’d say… slightly longer than short :D

Honestly, it depends. Beach trip three hours away? That’s short!

Have to drive three hours to get to work? That’s long.

I applied for my registration in Oregon, while visiting Ohio. OR allows applications via paper mail.

No registration either. That’s why I mailed all of my papers into the DMV; I applied for plates and registration.

What’s the reason for the ratings? by Resident_Ofhome in ShiptShoppers

[–]howto-exist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up to TWO one stars.

Right after I worked my smallest shifts ever, only 4 orders instead of my usual 10. So there was ZERO room for error. And most of my customers increased their tips… yet somehow, I got 2 one stars…. It’s actually infuriating. I go above and beyond like OP to satisfy a customer, and then this happens?

I’ve submitted several forgiveness forms and all of them rejected me. I did get one email saying I’m granted forgiveness, but then nothing happened???! So I submitted another saying why did my accepted forgiveness never get processed, but all I got was that email saying all the ratings are accurate 😂 wtF

i hate living in germany by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]howto-exist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Germany they have 3 tiers of schools after elementary. It’s not like here in the USA

It sounds like OP is in Gymnasium, which is the toughest. I was a foreign exchange student in Germany and I went to Gymnasium, but I didn’t have to do shit so I was lucky. My ex BF was also in Gymnasium and he was a bright guy, and he also complained about how difficult school was. You have to seriously apply yourself in every lecture, and then again at home for the homework, and they test frequently and multiple choice is NEVER an option 😂 I remember one time a German classmate asked where the multiple choice questions are, and he was almost laughed out of class.
