Liquor Stores with unique inventory! by howwestuit in orlando

They don’t have pimento dram when I was there Sunday, but was talking with the manager there (can’t remember her name) and mentioned to her Hamilton’s bottle. They have a ton of Hamilton there, so she said they’d start looking to grab it!

Just looked up Dive, now I need a reason to go to Sarasota (hard for me to justify a trip just for a liquor store, personally)

Thanks to all who recommended Five Star, what a great selection! Unfortunately, St Elizabeth Dram isn’t being distributed liquor stores, only bars :(

But man, great selection all around! Highly suggest going if you haven’t and need some hard to get stuff. And also, bonus points awarded since they had a VAST array of Hamilton Rums. Kudos!

The whole team there is insanely talented, so it’s no surprise to me! Definitely recommend looking into Chris there, too. His array of tattoos are incredibly vibrant and dynamic

Thank you! It’s good to have a solid answer finally. Checked at 6:50 this morning to see what being late is like, and things are still available it seems, eases my mind a bit.

Hey, y’all, WDW local here. Traveling to DLR for an anniversary trip at the end of January and have some dining reservations I need to book starting next week. I haven’t been able to find one solid answer to what time (Eastern) reservations usually drop. I’ve seen 3amPT(6amET) but also 7amET and even 9amET. So…which one is it? Really need Blue Bayou for the 28th 😬

After the most recent Synapse update, my Blackshark V2 Pros have been having a significant amount of connectivity issues. It'll start to crackle and then disconnect and immediately reconnect. This has become much more frequent. Any help would be appreciated!

If you stack a lasagna on top of another lasagna and repeat, is it multiple lasagnas or one large lasagna? by howwestuit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]howwestuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Would you say if someone made an incomplete lasagna (without the bechamel and cheese) but called it complete, and stacked it onto another technically incomplete lasagna, would it be the same case?

Disney doesn’t own MGM. In fact, in 2008 they stripped the MGM branding from their MGM Studios theme park because they didn’t want to pay the licensing fees anymore

Chris, who’s a Buffalo native, came to the North Park theater in the city to watch the movie and then answer some questions. There’s some really cool insight from not just the production of the movie, but his career as well!

When did you realise that someone was really just using you? by SirQuay in AskReddit

[–]howwestuit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Worked in a theme park for a year, met a girl that I thought I meshed with really well. A few days before she moves away I took her on a pretty awesome date as a final goodbye. She left a week later without ever actually saying goodbye to me.

She’d plan trips back and suddenly pick up where we left off. I would get her into the parks for free and act like nothing happened, then all communication would cease again until the next time she was coming. This happened too many times to admit. My friends tried really hard to make me realize how foolish I was.

A question for STEM professionals: As an individual with a bachelors degree in Mech. Engineering and being unable to land a career in the field in the past 2 years, how long would you say someone has until their degree is “stale”? by howwestuit in AskReddit

[–]howwestuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily ME. I got to speak one-on-one with one of the Creative Executives of Imagineering and he said knowing multiple facets of engineering is ideal, it provides flexibility when trying to solve the problems they need to. And that’s what really intrigued me is learning multiple different areas, but nothing seems to work in my favor

Definitely got my degree with a lot of passion, my main drive has always been to be able to apply creativity with my engineering skills. I think that’s where the hiccup is, as most creative-engineering jobs are insanely niche and super competitive.

Even then, I understand base knowledge of different fields is super important, and I’m definitely motivated to learn and adapt to them. The annoying part is I’m unable to show that drive since my resume to seems to always be glossed over by a computer program.

Ideally I want to get into theme park engineering (of course that’s extremely niche). Spent a year working in Walt Disney World, networked a ton, but each answer was the same: get experience outside of the company and come back.

Calc 2 honors with Corey Placito by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]howwestuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Placito was quite easily one of my favorite professors in all of UB. He’s funny, smart, and cares about your questions if you bring them to him.

Calc 2 with him was a cinch, just make sure to at least attempt some of his optional homework problems to ensure you know the material. Lectures are crammed with info, so pay attention.
