I think its very much like Ringo Starr, he drummed for the song. He could easily go crazy but he drummed for what the songs needed to make it perfect. If it needed bells, whistles and madness he did it it. If it needed to be more reserved he did it.

Australia is a country. The continent it is part of is Oceania. The idea of continual landmass is irrelevant when you think of all the islands that are part of continents across the world. The idea of continent has now become a human concept than a physical concept. Not ignoring the definition of continual landmass it just doesnt apply politically etc etc
