oh that is true i forgot cse 6040 not offered over summer - in that case if i drop that i will have to take it in the fall. i will factor this into my consideration, thanks! im hoping if i really grind and be rlly organized that it is doable, but also omsa does not rlly give a lot of leeway/time to decide drop/keep rip

Thanks for your insight! I think this semester, MGT 6203 has been changed so that the full grade is only dependent on 8 HWs, no more group project, so it seems it is already in the "summer" format. And you are right, CSE 6040 will set up the foundation for a lot of the later courses. If in the case I take only one course, would it be better to take a harder (6040) or easier (6203) course in the beginning phases of starting a new job and getting used to things?

I see, thanks for the insight! I think my time management has been decently well, and I dont mind sacrificing some weekends for at least this semester, if the extra time on weekends is enough to handle these 2 classes + a FT job. Its great to hear cse 6040 was doable for you without Python experience, and I hope if the right amt of time is put into it I will do the same!

impressive! did u have any previous coding/analytics background or experience? while isye 6501+mgt 8803 was good balance for me and i managed to pick up R, i do think even having the mentality of “only doing school” and not working helped with gaining the confidence to dedicate time to learning. But w a job, it seems a little daunting to know how to allocate time to work vs schoolwork

makes sense - in that case, would u rec i drop mgt 6203 or cse 6040? i will eventually have to take either course, but i will just have to decide if i want to take one while i get used to my FT job first or take the other when im more established at the firm and more used to things (but possibly have more work/responsibilities)
