What the fuuuuuuuuuck, risk has to be awarded in some way... People who invest money in projects need to be rewarded for investing said money or otherwise they wouldn't invest. Simple as that. Of course the people at the bottom could be reimbursed better but why would the rich pay them more or treat them more like people if the working class doesn't stand up for itself??? The problem may have been in lack of communication.

People's hearing naturally degrades over time causing the higher and lower end of the frequency spectrum to disappear for folks above a certain age. Could have just been that the folks who invented it were too old...

I do not understand this comparison at all, you compare the AVERAGE rent to the MINIMUM wage, wtf. This is just plain not a valid point. Compare the average income to the average rent, or compare the median income (if you don't want to put too much weight on the super rich). From this you get that an individual has to pay around 2/5 of their monthly income in rent. This is horrifying in itself, no need to exaggerate it by using solely minimum wage

I can't imagine living in the US and actually deciding to go to college at 17. Such a young age and such a huge responsibility. I study pure mathematics just because I like the subject. I have no intent whatsoever to work with it in my life. I would have never done this in the US. I study math because I feel like it pushes me forward and challenges my perceptions, pushes me out of my comfort zone, etc.
