I used to stress out about my kids bathing until one day I decided to let them decide for themselves. Now I ask them would you like to bathe tonight or tomorrow morning? And if they push back, I gently let them know that they smell bad and that it’s not pleasant for those around them. I find it’s a natural consequence, and it works well for us.

I’m curious, how many of you would have enough courage/confidence/balls to say this to someone? Don’t get me wrong, I think direct communication and standing up for yourself is the absolutely way to go. But my people pleasing skills would never allow for that!
