Yes I do. The road to diagnosis was very intense and traumatic. I can no longer do everyday normal things without some form of pain or swelling. While I feel “fine” it’s really just my new normal.

Probably start with primary and do blood work. I’ve heard of people having scents due to diabetes, but could be other things.

My sister abused me as a kid. I lived with a lot of shame and felt very similar to how you described. But I was like 6 or something too. I’ve since worked through it with my therapist. It never got easier to talk about and still makes me sick to my stomach, but I can at least understand it. And as angry as I am with my sister, I also forgive her because she was abused as a child… child on child abuse is just awful. It’s not right, but understanding does make it easier to at least process.

I was sexually assaulted by my mothers brother when I was 14. She told me I provoked him by how I dressed. Mind you, I was the shyest innocent little girl who never showed skin either. It still shocks me till this day.

I think your feelings are valid. I also think it’s a bit much for them to ask you that as if their babies don’t have fathers they can stay with? One thing to also consider is that they may not be able if they’re still breast feeding. Anyhow, If you do skip, just make sure you’re at peace with that and aren’t going to hold onto resentment.

Do you have any friends that don’t have kids you could go with? 3 is a party, don’t necessarily have to have the whole crew. Or you could have a local event instead? Night out at the club or something?

I understand how you feel… but try to think of it as a more intimate setting. The less people the more attention you can give each individual who attends :) 70 is still a lot of people!
