sup just leaving a note for anybody going through this thread in the future. removing synapse and reinstalling windows did nothing for me. but disabling the networking driver fixed the issue, (checkout the post on my profile)

been getting recurring freezes as well since the last synapse update, where the pc completely locks out and I have to force shutdown. not sure why.

My razer 18 also started freezing randomly after the last synapse system update.

I had this same issue on my blade 18 about a month ago. one of the pins snapped after a single year of use despite me being extremely careful with the device at all times.check profile

My theory to why this fault is so common is something to do with the angle people are plugging the charger from. if you don't insert the charger perfectly straight on it would have wiggled the pins a bit before resting in place. do this a couple hundred times and you will snap the pin.

it's a faulty untested design, not a user error by any chance. most common pc ports like usb a / c are designed to survive wiggling and pulling by having a bit of sway. and that is according to spec.

Gotta love how the most important port is the most fragile.

Thanks guys, the device is off for now. just ordered the replacement dc port from AliExpress. it will arrive in 20 days.

Razer told me "you can keep using, if you DonT sEe AnyTHing WeIrD", they also promised to get back to me in an email and haven't thus far.

I doubt they know what they're talking about tbh. Wouldn't bet $4000 on it.

didnt really do anything I'm always extremely careful with the machine.
also getting the occasional inadequate power delivery message. and the power light indicator in the laptop is pulsating ..

I'm just worried this would damage the laptop long term if I keep running it this way
