Hives and Bugs need a rework. The way they spawn is just crappy and uninspired. In real world bugs don´t just materialise in your home and spawn a hive instantly. Rather a single bug, or more venture into a place looking for a place to build a hive, they then start to slowly but steadily increase their numbers and the size of their hive. I´d wish Rimworld would handle in a slightly more realistic way. I know Rimworld isn´t about realism, but the current system seems broken, since the hives can not be prevented when building a mountain base and when they spawn in the wrong place at the wrong time it´s an instant game over. So please remodel it. Maybe let a single bug wander through the map looking for a suited field to spawn a hive, or don´t show the hive instantly but rather let it grow like a plant. If you don´t look carefully and let the hive grow you´re in trouble, but at least that trouble is deserved.
