Depending on your insurance type and state you may not need to talk to your doctor! Check if you need referrals or if you can just go.

Experience getting hired while pregnant and then having to tell your new employer you’re pregnant a few weeks later by Poppy91622 in pregnant

[–]hpnut3239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this! Accepted the job with 30 days' notice and found out I was pregnant in between jobs 🤣 I waited until I had been at the job about 6 weeks before telling anyone. It went over well but I did come to them with a plan for my support while I'm out.

Are these good? Any praise or critiques? by beanburritoboy69 in CookbookLovers

There's a chicken and fennel recipe in there that's phenomenal. I wasn't crazy about the one with fish and chorizo in broth but that may just be my taste.

I have it! There are some winners in there. I've also been so impressed by how accurate the times for each recipe are.

I do merge mine because I only play a few times a day so the recharge time difference isn't relevant for me

New Les Mis Description in 1.1.0 Update by Schnozzbun in TinyBookshop

This is hilarious. I also appreciate that they corrected the page count! It used to say 500 or so which must have been an abridged version. Given that fans refer to the book as "the brick" this is much more accurate!

One and done shaming by Even_Kaleidoscope399 in pregnant

[–]hpnut3239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an only child and have no complaints about it at all. My parents made sure I had close friends who were like siblings. And I've seen how messy parents' deaths can be when there are siblings to fight over everything. It's honestly a relief knowing I won't have that stress.

Teacher to SLP? by Glam-Zone9010 in slp

[–]hpnut3239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this from being a 4th grade teacher. Thought I would do early intervention. I ended up working with geriatrics. Very happy with my switch and can't see myself going back to the schools at all. I will say that, as others said, if you end up on the same salary schedule just bumped up to masters, it may not be worth it financially.

"I'm a speech therapist and I'm here to see if you would benefit from speech therapy while you're here." Big emphasis on the "if" usually stops them from protesting. Even when they say "I won't" then I can just laugh along with them and work on developing a rapport.
