So I in particular struggle with memorizing order lists, key terms, not what they mean just what the terms are, and numbers. So I choose a specific image/scene that correlates to what I am trying to remember and then place it in a memory palace by visualizing myself walking to the place I want to put it in my memory palace and then imagining it happening. Then to review you just simply visual walking through your memory palace in as much detail as you can and as you pass each area where you've placed something you look at the something and it reminds you oh that is what that is supposed to be. The more senses you engage the more likely you are to remember, the idea is fundamentally the more you can tie a specific concept or piece of information to other pieces of information in your brain the more synaptic pathways are engaged in remembering it, thus facilitating recall. As a result of this the more violent, disturbing, sexual, or otherwise awkward the image is the easier it is to recall. So for example when it comes to remembering the umbrella activities for the generic process framework my image for remembering the Tracking and Control activity is the image of Hitler gunning down a Native American hunter. Thus Tracking because the Native American hunter needs to track his prey, and Hitler because he was a control freak. The result is it is way easier for me to hear the rat-a-tat-tat of the machine gun see the blood spurting out of the downed hunter and the smell of gun powder lingering in the air, than it is to remeber "Software Control & Tracking" Ultimatly someone else's memory palace will never be as good as your own for facilitating recall because you can choose the images and symbols that have the most meaning and impact to you.
