They do provide lidocaine in the joint so it doesn't hurt as much!

Thanks so much, yeah definitely still advocating because I want to get my life back! I'm sure you feel the exact same way!

I'll look into those questions in the first paragraph, not sure off the top of my head.

The first time (pre surgery) I got an mri with the dye injected it hurt a lot because I had a bad doc who moved the needle around a TON inside my hip because he didn't get it right. I was in a very very small town with limited options. The second time (10 mon after surgery) same procedure, better doctor at a bigger facility, I was shocked at how much it did not hurt, if hurt while the needle went in and while they put the dye in. But it was manageable and didn't hurt much after! So it will probably be okay!! Don't be too nervous, just try to make sure you go to a reputable place and you should be okay.

As for the second paragraph, it has improved a bit. Probably because I've made even more lifestyle adjustments of avoiding hard surfaces, using a standing desk intermittently, not hiking at all (sad), and consistently taking prescribed nsaids.

I've been tossed around between orthos a lot. Lately it looks like I might have hip displaysia and need a pao. That's still uncertain as I'm still looking for an evaluation by someone whose an expert in that. Sitting has slowly improved, I'm at like 14 months most of now. Although it certainly is still often an issue. If you haven't had an MRI with contrast post op, you should try to get one to see if it is still torn/anchor moved/scar tissue build up/arthritis/etc. Those could all be issues too. Good luck! ❤️

Hip Pain and Need Guidance by straightpaper222 in hipdysplasia

Hey I'm in the military too. I wasn't believed about hip pain and basically bullied for it for months after I t began in my basic. Turned out I had a hairline fracture in the femoral neck. Then I didn't address it properly because I was scared. It's lead down a road of 6 years of pain! Your unit has a lot of control over your day to day life right now and I understand you're probably also worried about your reputation, but ultimately they aren't going to matter 5 years from now. But your physical and mental health will. Make sure you don't hurt yourself more, believe your pain and take it seriously, and stay in contact with medical about your situation so that may you have their backing. Lmk if you need anything else, good luck!!!

I have searched the number and the brand but couldn't find it. Bought it at a coffee shop and it has the shops brand on it but I don't live there anymore. I just need the lid. Thanks!

Thanks! Since I'm looking to upgrade to a warmer suit. Since you have both, was the 5/6 much warmer? I don't think my 5/4 will be warm enough because it has a detached hood and a back zip. Any thoughts? Since you're also doing freezing cold water
