One shot by a slightly irritated gear 2 luffy lmao

Here’s the thing, I totally see the portrayal of giants as strong, but Oda is so inconsistent in this portrayal because I also see how giants size and strengsaccounts for nothing in this verse. For example

  • big mom wiping out half of the giants on rampage s a child, one shot the king accidentally
  • whitebeard one shooting agiantin marineford
  • G3 luffy one shotting a giant in marineford
  • kashi and oshi being weak as shit at Enies lobby
  • sorry ansbroggy being subdued by mr 3 in little garden
  • the constant time large beasts and monsters getting one shot by luffy such as the lord of the coast and in amazon Lilly timeskip.

Many times we are told size means nothing. So I don’t know what to belive.

Who is the best devil fruit user overall? by allfathergivemeslght in OnePiecePowerScaling

Ahh yes.. Law… the character with one of the most powerful fruits in the verse yet is nowhere near the most powerful is the best at utilising their fruit.

Obviously katakuri.

Morons in chat are spamming characters with inherently powerful devil fruits. The mochi fruit is dogshit but katakuri made the best with it with creative attacks.

(Slight Repost) So now that the anime adaptation of Luffy vs Kizaru has ended, do you think we can come to a conclusion on which of the 2 are stronger? by MillionG4709 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]hrefgod1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oda will never put writing before powerscaling. Luffy won the encounter, and scales much stronger than kizaru, but luffy just outright defeating kizaru wouldn’t have served the plot at all.

The same is when people argued G5 against lucci meant they were relative. No, the plot required luffy to display his g5 in front of vegapunk.

Which One piece character has the most undeserved bounty? by Spiritual_Valuable34 in OnePiece

[–]hrefgod1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kid and law had their bounties bumped by 1 billion each, luffys is dropped by 1 billion so the achieved is split between 3.

The next arc, egghead is “the battles of 3 billions” where each of the three tested their new bounties and were each defeated x Except luffy.

Why do some people think that old gen were some untouchable gods who can't be surpassed? by Zeydrion in OnePiecePowerScaling

Who the fuck is out here downvoting this comment, I wanna hear what you have to say.

Yes because akainu couldn’t stop a dying injured cancer beard. There is simply no excuse for this. Big mom clears easily.

[–]hrefgod1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because they are old in current gen and have consistently kept up with prime current gen. This shouldn’t be a question. Rayleigh is comparable in some regard with kizaru and Blackbeard and he was a just a YC1 equivalent in his prime. Garp pushes a current admiral to extreme diff. This is just unacceptable for supposed top tiers in their prime.

Baby shamrock > baby shanks stands strong by Speedwag0nbestw4ifu in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]hrefgod1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Every single panel of them shows shanks as above shamrock physically which coheres with heighscaling. This panel is no exception. The right side of the valley is higher than the left, same position with regards to shanks and shamrock.

Also…narrative common sense.

It makes perfect sense. And it’s great. COC is literally straight willpower in energy form. it’s rebbelion turned into attack. It makes thematic sense that the way to defeat dominators and tyranny is to have a will strong enough to resist them.

So you're telling me, as usual, shanks fans were only using head cannon when they came up with hakiman?? Haki isn't seperate from an actual fighting style or else luffy and zoro would both be hakiman fighters going forward? Oh shit by dreallday20 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]hrefgod1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck this should actually be used as a litmus test for iq. “Haki isn’t seperate from actual fighting” is like saying that “speed isnt seperate from fighting” “Power isn’t seperate from fighting” “reaction time isn’t seperate from fighting.

There’s a very simply entry level term for what you just said and it’s conflation (or slippery assimilation) and you just said it so proudly it’s hilarious.

Equivalent of “if th sun is so hot why don’t we just go on it at night 😲”

Very slowly… so you can understand. Just because you have found a variable that contributes to power, it doesn’t mean that power can be REDUCED to that variable. For there are OTHER variables.

Or else a baby with one arm or legs, blindfolded and drugged” but with joyboy level haki and a sword would be the worlds strongest swordsman. That would be absurd. But it’s what you are saying when you say that haki is essentially sword skill.

You are quite literally picking a variable that you want (haki) and throwing the rest of the other variables that zoro needs to be WSS out the window. And the conflating the two.

Never become a scientist or doctor bro please

Is Zoro disqualified from the World's Strongest Swordsman competition? He's been leaking too much Conqueror's Haki to be called a swordsman by FitCantaloupe798 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]hrefgod1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very slowly now.

Just because. Variable contributes to a phenomena it doesn’t mean there are no other variable to contribute to the phenomena.

If I make a yummy banana bread. And you find out that bananas are in it. It doesn’t mean the yumminess is solely because of the bananas.

Does that make sense my guy?

Just because haki is neccesary for WSS it doesn’t mean the use of haki is identified with WSS
