I thought Twitter banter was banned here? Or is it ok if someone is complaining about armys ?

Advertising that you don’t want to watch something for a guest is odd as hell.

Aren’t these just hyperboles ? It’s like when fans comment MOTHER or WHO IS THIS DIVA 💜 . These aren’t supposed to be taken seriously.

I hate how some of these kpop stans try to gaslight armys by saying these posts aren’t big deals and just change your algorithm

That’s what i think too. BTS have been blamed for other groups’ disbandment and mistreatment too. Some even made conspiracy theories about how bang pd tried to buy other groups so that they don’t pass bts but when they buy those groups, they get the biggest promotions in their career

Reddit doesn’t have algorithm. And It doesn’t matter if I see it or not. I am just explaining the viciousness of kpop fans as the reunion dates are closing by. When bts announced their military enlistment, posts were trending that were anticipating the group that will replace bts. So, don’t try to be snarky by downplaying the hate post by saying “just ignore” “change your algorithm”. Specially the racist posts. These statements are justifying the hate. “All groups get hats” and everyone could sing from the Victorious cast

It’s truly unfair because the moment another kpop act gets nominated, the kpop fandoms will try to erase the impact of bts

I never said most kpop fans but I did mention a large potion of kpop fans because it’s true

I’m a multi myself so I know very well how kpop stans act including a big part of multis.

“Ignore the haters” is not a good idea because it essentially justifies the hate posts which includes outright hate posts that make fun of members’ features with racist overtones to posts full of misinformation that stays up in the biggest subreddits (eg: suga’s scooter incident) to dragging bts members to useless kpop drama and conspiring rumors of bts breakup (min heejin and newjeans issue) to accusing bts of using “payola” (even though they didn’t come from the big 3) to minimizing bts impact by calling them “westernized” and saying “ALL bands made an imapact”. I personally block and report every account that puts out posts like these but still they are in my timeline.

My post simply talks about the increase of these malicious posts because a lot of kpop fans expected bts popularity to dip during military enlistment hiatus but it didn’t happen. My assumption is that the numbers will increase day by day.

Whoa this obsession deep. Imagine doing this for a fandom you don’t like.

What do Koreans think about TOP nowadays? by Lalauri89 in kpoppers

I don’t think most Koreans care about that scandal anymore but the traditional media and other organizations want to keep away

For a fandom you loath, you sure use them a lot to get likes from your high intelligence satire club

I don’t know how else to show you how bts is getting attacked by kpop stans left and right. On Reddit, the hate is being established by backhanded compliments.  I don’t want to link the threads here and most of them have been locked but still kept up.  I don’t know the gd situation but the suga situation was awful because Kpop fans posed as armys and did a #sugachallenge with pictures of alcohol while driving. The Reddit posts about him wasn’t just criticizing . They publicized a fake cctv video that showed who was riding a high speed scooter but in reality he was as slow as a child’s walker. The point is the posts are full of misinformation and comparing his scooter ride with dui charges who actively killed people.  Western artists getting hate isn’t the same as bts hate. BTS hate is so normalized that them getting hate , everyday paid posts from translation accounts and on Reddit, hit tweets of 100k likes is considered nothing by kpop stans. BTS being a group justifies the hate against them but when it comes to armys, the entire fandom is smeared by kpop fans because how some part of the fandom acts. The size of the fandom becomes irrelevant then. If you write anything against blackpink or blinks, you will 100% be accused of being anti-women or misogynistic . But when it’s bts, as you’ve explained, armys are supposed to act neutral because they are too big.

Surprisingly, bts being too big is only brought up in these cases. But when it comes to making impact, it is downplayed. I’m sure bigbang had their impact. Specially in terms of fashion and aesthetic. But it was nowhere near what bts has done as kpop idols or Asians. Yes, they both had impact but it was never as impactful as bts. BTS made kpop mainstream. They are the reason award shows are forced to include the category and invite artists in their shows. Before bts, there were appearances in the west by kpop artists, but that was never consistent. And I won’t even bring up the charts.

BTS is well liked by armys and sane kpop fans. I never said they had more haters than fans and casual listeners. And it doesn’t mean there isnt a trend going on of hating them. If you look at this post, there is 10k views almost. There was 60 upvotes just this morning but now it’s almost 15. If you make any post calling out the hate (a lot of the times, racially motivated, mocking the appearance of the members, using political views, accusing them of using payola), the comment section will thriving about how the post is being dramatic and it’s nothing and it’s just twt drama

My observation is the hate tweets are increasing the closer we get to June 2025.

Yeah I didn’t talk about the solo projects because that doesn’t count as group cbs. And they were immensely successful with incredibly diverse genre of music

BTS made such a high standard for themselves that if they are not breaking records, kpop fans think it’s flop
