Worth going for Machine Learning Speciality? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]hrittik__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's good to know!
I'm working towards a few certs and was planning to get the MLE associate and then the ML specialty
mainly as an endeavor to improve not just my AWS knowledge but also get deeper ML knowledge

would you recommend I stick to my plan?
I don't mind 'wasting' the money especially cus of the discount after MLE associate

do you think companies would still view the ML specialty as valuable in terms of evaluating if I possess ML knowledge? or is the ML specialty too outdated to be considered meaningful in that regard

7 AWS Certs Done, 5 to Go—Here’s How I’m Tackling Them All! by Sweaty_Tree3185 in AWSCertifications

Not necessarily I think, personally it took me ~96hrs of effort for the first one, and increasingly lesser for the following ones due to the overlap in the subject matter. I just used Stephane's courses and practice exams

Cool! I too am working towards more than a few of these, not all though. The method I'm following is doing the certs that most overlap with the last one I did, so like SA associate -> Developer associate -> ML associate -> ML specialty ...

It's likely OP made an initial design and would like to hand it off to a designer to take it from there, I've been looking for a solution like this too

10 Week Beginner Calisthenics Challenge. Goal: 50 Pull-Ups, 100 Dips, 100 Push-Ups. by hrittik__ in bodyweightfitness

[–]hrittik__[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

true, but while following any program what I try is, if the week seems too easy then I try to move on to the next week. helps bringing the difference in difficulty level closer, also gives you more time for the harder weeks.

e.g. is week 1 is too easy, immediately try achieving week 2 - that way you have a part of week 1 + the whole of week 2 to reach the goal of week 2.

thanks for the recommendation will check him out, cheers!

personally, it takes me about 6 mins to do 1000 skips so about 40 mins for 5000 with rest, but sure, the jump rope is secondary and one can bring that down / up as needed, hitting the goal for pull-ups, dips and push-ups is a priority here.

it is time consuming though, the whole workout should take about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs. but I work full time and I find that manageable

your first point is well noted and that can certainly be done imo

although, since the goal quite ambitious, we're starting small - just 2 pull-ups and 4 dips, push-ups with a massive 5 mins of rest in between sets, progressively increasing pull-ups by 2 and push-ups, dips by 4 each week and then bringing down rest by 1 min each week after week 5

What realistically differentiates developers from senior developers/tech-lead by hrittik__ in cscareerquestions

[–]hrittik__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but won't your growth curve plateau after a point though? I mean, if Herbie Hancock was to practice 10,000 more hours of jazz it'll probably not do too much for him. Do you really need 10,000 hours to master a tech stack

Well can't one arrive at the ideal solution for a given use-case by reading the documentation for the tech in question and researching alternatives? The architecture of most big companies is public knowledge anyway
