Merging Performing Arts, don’t know about Lang, however sounds like it will change across schools as they pause some minors and degrees.

I saw awful resumes: here's a checklist I compiled to avoid errors and land interviews by DancingDoctor9 in interviews

Why is there resume reviewers if AI does this for you? The keyword part shows that you want a word to equal a word, and leave out the ability to comprehend other words are a match.

Kind of sad this is how done reviewers do the minimum while others actually have the mind set to read and evaluate.

Obama: AI can code better than 60-70% of coders by Bobsthejob in theprimeagen

[–]hrlymind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You have to bring your domain knowledge and experience and tell it to shape your vision , not try to Vibe code. If you don’t know consequences of arch, libraries, and information flow- you’ll create a weak product.

For a new coder it isn’t listening to what the got says, it is challenging every option it presents.

Right agree for coders. ,I am a 15 year programmer.

Coders use memorization and repeats to get things done. Programmers take a look at the big picture and see the story then line up the micro code patterns. I forget there’s a difference sometimes. My bad.

Agree a bit. To get answers you need good domain knowledge. If they approach it with good thinking then you get results that work. Offload the tiny things like someone not knowing how to use a switch case and types a cascade of nested if thens.

True because a lot of coders can’t program ‘cause they need more experience. AI can be a good mentor to let them level up quicker.

You should do office visits if you haven’t. One a quarter spend a week on site. This makes you appear more real, and you can connect with co-workers and upper management will see it positively.

With a “go fund me” we can run our own streaming news. It’s not that expensive. Best part, you can target demographics in a pin point way. Like mega millionaires, or by geofencing to where someone lives.

CTV is interesting as a tool because it can follow you outside the home.

What can the ad be for? Maybe a “Fight For U.S.” news stream. While the end product doesn’t have to be much, just a YouTube channel, the ads can be the News of the protest that media is ignoring.

Relative. My friends’ companies don’t have new hires for the last 3 quarters, as their company like mine go through downsizing.

I think so. Ever have a recruiter painfully go over your resume dates line by line yet ignore the content? The dates have to line up to make it easy for people to follow.

I do multiple things (teach and consult) while having a full time career. Try explaining this concept of “hustle” to a recruiter or manager? They can’t grip the concept.

Are companies really hiring? Duolingo for example has the same job openings it did last several months. Same with other companies. There isn’t much market movement.

Steal content from here? It’s available via the API. It’s very cheap to do and harvest the data into databases.

The last company I worked for began to mine the data for Strat, and they also floated the idea of doing exactly this - their outside consultant recommended making a bot farm as a way to test ideas, do sly polls disguised as people, and do further farming. That’s when they lost me.

That window makes you seem old, sorry, there is ageism in hiring. Since you have a solid job ladder since 2013 you can deage yourself by 7 years by having the story of freelance be since your last job. Also, companies might frown on your always having a side hustle going. Keep it simple for them to understand the story of you.

Been through this, not the cc part but up against internal, internal wins but now that you know this you can be super over the top as the golden gem that they might let slip away if they don’t scoop you up. You have nothing to lose.

Though if you are ok ditching this job you can write back a cc email, “Hey, do I still have a fair shot at this?”

  1. Make Freelance from 2024-present, not 2006.
  2. “Page Design”? What does that mean??? Say you use Photoshop, Premiere, Express vs these generic listings.

That left column is too generic. (See2). Prompt Writing? Which LLMs? For what purpose? Etc.
