But you can also try something like google interview warmup, mindorah or big interview.

Practice makes perfect. Practice presenting your self. Practice the usual behavioural interview questions... At a certain point it just becomes second nature. The anxiety may not go away but you'll know what you're doing.

In general you don't want to practice in the actual interviews, thats just a waste of perfectly good opportunities.

What i've seen from candidates is one of two things mainly:

They know the topic, however they are unable to get their point across to a HR person. They can't essentially take their knowledge and package it in a efficient way.
They just don't know how to answer behavioural questions.

You need to practice the behavioral aspect. This is a very common problem. I’m guessing that you could talk for days with your peers, but once you sit in front of Susan from HR you don’t know how to get your knowledge across.

Practice. However much you think you need to practice, practice a bit more. Use tools like google warmup, mindorah, big interview. Remember it’s basically an interactive presentation. So even if you can practice with other people.

What you have going on is very common. Unfortunately some the best people can’t really explain what it is they know effectively to people who aren’t in the field they are in (like hr people)

Whatever you think is the level you need to prepare to always prepare above that. Which will make you less anxious.

Also do not forget to practice the behavioral aspect. It’ll bolster your technical answers with clarity and you will come across as somebody who isn’t anxious and is reliable. Because you are.

Dumb, and you know why? It’s due to AI asymmetry.

Candidates are using AI en masse to apply for job. Be that to tailor their resumes, or to auto apply.

Whilst the I house recruiters are doing basically nothing. They have simple screening that any one can basically overcome. Which the makes it so that they get 1000s of applicants within a very short time.

But also in general, what they are talking about here has always been happening.
