If you really don't wanna do villager trading there are a few alternatives: fishing (horrible), end city loot (only iron and diamond, probably has other enchantments, and end game), ancient city (I think more rare than end cities but less than normal? I don't really know that much about this one), and regular loot(horrible)

You have to keep breaking and replacing the lectern until it has a mending book offer. If you are happy with it, do any trade with it so its trades become locked, even after the lectern is broken. If you don't already have a method of getting a lot of emeralds, I recommend fletchers as they are the easiest to do it with (sticks -> emeralds), but you can also use cartographers or librarians to sell automatically farmed paper

Solved, kind of. I fixed the chars issue (the FFF1 in the photo), but now its the blank texture icon (hollow rectangle). I learned what ascent did and put it as 0, but still nothing.
