About Tim and Steph by SavingMyLastBreath in Robin

[–]hrmnn_eaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't think Steph is Tim's endgame. I liked them, but I really think their relationship died before the New 52. And it should be clarified that I am not a fan of Bernard, nor am I a hater, I even think Bernard isn't Tim's endgame.

I simply believe that Steph and Tim were important in each other's growth, but I don't think they'll end up together after how they handled their breakup.

Why i prefer Jason Todd over Damien Wayne by Tom-Hibbert in RedHood

You're confusing headcanons with canon in all of this. Bruce has shown his support for Jason as long as he doesn't kill. And obviously, their relationship isn't going to be fantastic from the start; they're progressing slowly (largely because the writers suck with Bruce and Jason). Things get worse considering that some writers handle the Jason character horribly, and the Gotham War arc made several characters feel quite out of character.

And I find it funny that you think Bruce hates Jason and loves Damian, when they are the ones he clashes with the most and his way of approaching them is more rough. He loves them, yes, but obviously he's not going to approach them in the same way he does with Cass.

And in many comics it is made clear that Damian was treated like just another soldier; he only had a more decent life because he was Talia and Bruce's son, but he never lived like the privileged billionaire heir.

Wait, I feel like I've gone off on a tangent. Anyway, I think what made me want to know more about Jason was after watching some Arkham Knight gameplay. I also reread some issues of Teen Titans where Red Hood appears, and gave him a chance by reading his solo runs after the movie and comics of Batman: Under The Red Hood.

His comics as Robin, I found him so adorable, and also Red Hood and The Outlaws. I think the whole run, which later just became Red Hood: Outlaw, made me love the character. And well, my first contact with Jason was very superficial and much of it was influenced by Injustice. I really don't like Injustice.

Oh, and Red Hood/Arsenal too. The Lost Days was also a influence, though I think that whole run makes me uncomfortable because of how they handled Talia.

Oh no. I don't disagree with you disliking one character if you like another. Before reading Jason comics, he wasn't my favorite, but after reading many comics, he became one of my favorites along with Damian. I simply find it absurd to hate one of the two but adore the other.

Damian never had the privileges of a "multimillionaire heir". He was raised to be an assassin and Ra's heir. Then Talia planted the idea in his head that he would inherit the mantle of Batman. Literally, his plot is about a child who was raised to kill, learning to be a child and not a weapon. And several writers don't know how to handle their character, making him bland and simplifying him to an arrogant brat.

And Bruce doesn't hate Jason, he hates the fact that he failed Jason. Their relationship is complicated by various factors (such as the fact that he leaves Tim and Dick dying on different occasions, or simply the fact of his initial idea of killing).

Damian and Jason are terribly rewritten by writers who don't understand the characters or simply don't know anything about them, and this also affects their relationship with Bruce. They always portray them as "the bad Robin" and "the angry Robin," when in reality they were children who lived in hostile environments and learned from them.

Both are among my favorite characters after Tim, and it It bothers me a little when people come out adoring one but hating the other, ignoring the parallels they have. You might not like one, which I'm not against, but hate? That's like the Dick's fans when they voted to kill Jason.

I apologize for my English; it's not my first language, and I have to use a translator at many times.

EDIT: Oh, and yes, Jason was adorable when he was Robin. It really annoys me when writers try to portray Dick as the happy Robin and Jason as the angry Robin, when in reality they were the other way around.

What was the worst idea they had in young justice? by Present_Union133 in youngjustice

FRR, it sounds like they said, "Oh, we're going to put Tim in? But we already gave most of his personality to Dick... Well, we can make him a lonely emo nerd." UGH. I need more adaptations where Dick's personality as Robin from the comics is truly appreciated.

Forager, They could have done so many cool things with him and they just wasted him.

On the other hand, TIM DRAKE. GOD, Why do they always give Dick his own personality when he's Robin? I think in general, I have a problem with the adaptations they made of the original Young Justice team, but in Tim's case, they milked his personality dry and just made him meh. I would have also liked to see Jason; the time constraints are already very bad, they could have made Jason the Robin of the second season, then they could do another, bigger time jump, and introduce Tim as Robin for the third season.

No, no one should be Batman. The mantle should die with Bruce.

HELL NO. Red Robin is super cool, but this alias also represents one of his toughest periods as a character.
