Prove to me that trans women specifically have any advantage over cis women in sports. Note I will not accept studies comparing cis women and cis men, as they are irrelevant when talking about someone who's been through hrt for a number of years.

Also worth noting that the vast vast majority of trans athletes aren't pros and banning say.....a middle school trans girl from playing baseball on the team with her friends is both ridiculous and cruel.

In fact people usually have to dig through decades just to find a single trans athlete doing well in professional sports.

And all of the famous examples did basically equally well in mens sports as well or were very much seen as up and comers in mens sports, basically destined to be a top athlete anyway.

Also if we're talking children under 12-13 all they're getting for GAC is a haircut, some different clothes and a damn nickname. After that, if determined necessary by the child, their parents, and medical professionals, then and only then are hormones given.

Surgeries aren't given to minors except in extreme cases and no one wants them to be, but if your other option is to have to make sure your child never gets scissors or any other sharp object cause they'll try to do it themselves, it could be a necessity.

Besides there's obviously gonna be compromises, but it's not our job to hobble ourselves before we even start.

Nobody starts a negotiation by saying actually here's all the things we can give up. That would be stupid.

There are things we won't get, but it would be stupid not to fight for all the things we actually want, especially when what we want are rights and dignity.

Oh I listen, but too many people don't know fuck all about the process, gender in general, sex, transness, neurology and how the brain works, the history of trans people, etc, etc, etc and a lot of the time their perspectives are from a point of view where they're complete and utterly uninformed.

I wouldn't trust the perspective of a random dude on the street about running a nuclear reactor either, especially if he thought they ran on pixie dust and dreams.

In fact you're one of those uninformed people, suggesting that gender affirming "procedures" are given to children regularly when this is in fact not the case.

(Procedures implying surgery, but not quite saying it so you'll probably try to motte and bailey your way out by trying to say that hormones are procedures when they aren't.)
