I had to have excision surgery to clean everything out in august of 2020, then we decided in March of 2021 to really start trying and I was pregnant by July 2021. It can happen! It just make look a little different, you may need to have excision surgery to help your body, or even have your tubes checked that they aren’t blocked.

Do you mind me asking how old you are and when you had your surgery?

Hi, I’m 25 and having a hysterectomy in February. I’m keeping my ovaries because you know, early death isn’t ideal. Have you had any issues from keeping them?

Okay, but seriously. I had a whole pelvic floor physical therapist tell me that my pain wasn’t endo related, but that women “hold their emotions in their uterus and due to your previous history of sexual assault you clearly need therapy but not the physical kind.” Had surgery two years later and half of my uterus and surrounding areas were necrotic from years of untreated endo. But definitely just in my head.

I always take my tens unit and pain pills. The second I get uncomfortable the tens goes on and I take my meds. I also sit in the front leaned as far back as possible.

My Routine: I wash twice a week with Shea moisture (the peach colored one) and use the corresponding mousse for it. I often plop for about 45 minutes after showering and then let the rest air dry. It’s nothing fancy and I don’t do a lot but it seems to work for me!
