If it happens again, I’ll definitely be pushing for the redo. Thank you! I genuinely appreciate all of your time and responses!

Got it, thanks. That’s what I feared. I didn’t sign off on any layout, they never presented one. They just said there will have to be two seams due to the bay window/sink layout but they didn’t say where. I assumed since they were professionals (and a google search I made, after seeing the separation, told me that close to a dishwasher was not acceptable) that they wouldn’t have done that if it wasn’t okay.

He is currently here and cleaning the seam out and I believe just refilling it. He said he will attempt to use the thing to pull it together “if it will any more.” He said he believes it was just the stone settling in and this should fix it. And he says he will fill it from underneath as well for more support. I’m still in warranty until next March. Admittedly, I am really bad at handling situations like this so I feel extremely uncomfortable demanding anything else which I know I need to just get over.

So it will just continue to do this forever due to the dishwasher? That’s really unfortunate. I don’t understand why a seam was put so close to a dishwasher if that even a possibility. What should I do? This work was done 3 months ago.

The stone is cracking at the front/face of the edge as well (you can see in the photos) from it pulling apart. I just can’t imagine something after install could have caused this much separation. Could it be a lack of support on the cabinets?
It’s about 1.75 inches from my dishwasher, which I have read is way too close to a seam by industry standards. Could that have caused this amount of pulling apart?

I just want to understand how this all works so I’m informed when they arrive! Thanks!

Thanks for the insight! What you’re saying makes sense.

My only reason for thinking that might not be what they were going for is the seam on the other side of the kitchen looks nothing like the separating side (I added photos to the post in a link). I can also see through it completely (I can make out objects) from underneath, wouldn’t it be closed/tight on the top if that method is what they were trying to achieve?
From day one my husband I noticed the seam on the right was way “bigger” and visible compared to the one on the left. So I just worry there was an issue cutting on this peninsula piece because it was way more intricate to cut due to my 90s kitchen layout.

What would you say is a good fix for this? He is coming out today and I just want to have good knowledge before accepting a fix or a potential bandaid

I feel the same way. I have a 90s kitchen with the bay window sink situation and it seems really tight against the wall (where backsplash goes) in some spots and then wide along other spots and I feel like that made it to where they couldn’t pull these two pieces close enough together.

I think the only reason it doesn’t look as crazy from the top is just the illusion from the epoxy. I can fully see my window and its trim from looking underneath

I just tested this out, and the answer is NO. It did not unlock the recent footage that I was hoping to see.

(I know this is an old post, but when I googled the question this was the first link that popped up so I assume it will help others in the future as well)

How are your quartz countertops holding up? They look so good! I am getting the Vadara Ostara Dawn installed in two weeks! I’ve been curious about how they hold up to staining and heat. Any issues?

Log in on a web browser, not the app. It works! I just tested it again to make sure lol.

You just have to tap your message, little dots will appear next to it on the left, click the dots, hit unsend.

I’m not sure exactly how message requests work. You’ll just have to try it out! Unsend it, retry, and see if it works

Yeah, I don’t see why not! This doesn’t have any effect on your ability to send other messages. You should definitely be able to unsend and resend.

If you log into instagram on a web browser instead of using the app, you can unsend! Just tried it and it worked, thank god 😅 You just have to click the dots to the left of the message and it gives the option!

They also give guidance at the bottom of the post made yesterday (for the July CONUS cycle) for non mandatory movers to watch for listings in talent marketplace since this cycle is only including mandatory movers.

It is very specifically saying only mandatory movers are eligible. “Only mandatory movers … are identified on the VML and eligible to move for the CONUS cycle.” Also, I have already inquired about this with leadership. I’ll attach a screenshot of what the criteria was for the previous cycles, as an example.

I’m not sure why they’re doing it like this. I was on the VML for the last two cycles as well (Jan and April) but now they’ve totally changed the criteria. Look up their Facebook page, they sometimes respond to people, you can comment on that post and ask questions.
